Thanks to Glenn Turner, Jim got us out of NLN; he was the answer at the time - no question. Who's this Glenn Turner fella? If you're suggesting that we only went up based on one moment rather than the points we accumulated throughout the season then you're making your view point seem even more ridiculous than it already did. By the same logic, I hope Stevie attributes our last promotion to Junior Morias, Paul McCallum, and Matt Robinson rather than Challinor

Grovelling apologies fro the Turner/Taylor faux pas - but the point stands; Glen Taylor got us out of NLN. So which opposition player do you credit our NL championship to?

The promotion from the NL was an entirely different situation to the promotion from NLN, and if you need me to explain the difference then it’s not worth the effort.

Grovelling apologies fro the Turner/Taylor faux pas - but the point stands; Glen Taylor got us out of NLN. Someone’s had a few drinks today. I've had an 11.5% triple IPA and a 10.5% Belgian blonde but I'm not stood in the garden shouting 'behold, the sun sets in the east, and always has' Glen Turner, Graeme Hick, Mark Ramprakash, 100 hundreds, County heroes

More likely he's not thinking straight because of the queen grief.
They must have been very close.

Grovelling apologies fro the Turner/Taylor faux pas - but the point stands; Glen Taylor got us out of NLN. You have to be on the wind up here. We played 42 games that season and got 82 points. What next, the Chorley goalkeeper got us promoted for not stopping Glen Taylor’s shot?

Everyone enjoying the fun - that’s fine; but we all know that the Spennymoor man will never have to buy his own pint in Stockport.

Bizarre the dislike for Jim as an utter club legend from a minority. It’s f*cking ridiculous.
I hope he decides to have another proper crack again with someone like Halifax or even Oldham.
If he doesn’t, it takes nothing away from what he has done for us over 25 years as well as being treated badly a few times too.

Some food for thought from the greatest living legend that we have. James Gannon is pure class. Highly recommend reading the whole thread. Some of our ‘supporters’ would do well to take heed of the Shankley quote, there’s a group of prolific posters who go into negativity overdrive at the first sign of adversity, as if being a manager isn’t hard enough, great piece by Jim.
