Definitely with cricket grounds. Kent County Cricket Ground in Canterbury had a 27m high tree (admittedly not on the pitch - that would be silly - but within the playing area, which, of course, is absolutely not silly) until 2005. Can't help thinking that football could at times be improved with a tree or two - the goats, for one, would love it. The small pitch at Woodbank Park had a tree 🌲 n the middle of it Cricket or football? Used to play football in Hollingworth where our home pitch had a footpath from one corner to another that locals continued to use during games.

Think it was 0-0 last time I went down there. Wouldn’t be surprised if it ended up the same. To stop the rot after a horrific run in September and October 2019. Five defeats, one goal scored and 15 against. It was a terrible run of results - I remember coming away from the game never having been so pleased to have watched a 0-0 draw!

Neil hair is the referee for this game.
He was the ref away at crawley which we lost. The only time he's reffed us
Sutton have had him 4 times and won all 4 games.

Are there any shocks we can see from 1st to 4th? I’d expect Carlisle to pick up at least 4 points from Tranmere (H) and Walsall (A). Same with Northampton from Newport (A) and Gillingham (H). Stevenage have Colchester (A) and Hartlepool (H) so that could be a possible 6 points although not the easiest fixtures in the world. We need to make sure we get minimum 4. Maybe Newport can be our Solihull for this Easter Weekend and take points off Northampton and then give us all three 🤞🏼 Do you think we could get maximum of 6 over Easter or 4 will be happy?

No reason why we can’t get all 6. I’d take 4.

I'd like 6, being selfish if we get 4 I'd take the point away and three at home, can't get to Sutton as we are visiting my Grandad's grave for the first time since the funeral as a family. Still remember Cath confiscating his hip flask after he swilled the last before handing it over.

Still no poll? I know we didn't need one for Swindon but every little we can do helps.

I'll stick my neck out. Yes County will get 6 points over the weekend. I watched a lot of the Orient v Carlisle game the other day. Neither of them were great and Carlisle haven't scored for 4 games. So our games against them are definitely not home bankers. Win the next two, and who knows the unlikely could become likely. Yours sincerely Ever the optimist.

Nailed on we’ll win at Sutton and then draw with Newport and we’ll get the usual ‘we’d have been happy with the results the other way round’ line. Even though it’ll be six draws in a row at home.

If our home form had mirrowed our away one in the last 5 games we would be 7 points better off than we are now by winning 4 and one defeat. then we would be nicely placed on second position in the league. Shows that draws can keep you down rather than promote you. Go through every league there are many teams who have drawn loads of games and lost as many as a team at the top but are miles behind them in the league placings.

Shows that draws can keep you down rather than promote you. 18 games unbeaten with Steve-o at the helm, wasn’t it? I for one don’t have the same level of expectation this season, but under the circumstances we could do without repeating the experiment to confirm whether the theory is correct!
