This is the one I saw: Didn't tag him in it and wasn't even about him as such, but more about County fans specifically looking for him to get on camera. He found it, blocked the tweeter and then came back to give a passive aggressive 'thanks for the feedback đ' He definitely seems to have a bit of an ego and cannot take even the mildest of criticism. I think he does a cracking job and it gives great insight for fans. Nothing against the lad but there seems to be some sort of drama every week via cryptic tweets etc. Most people doing press at County for years just keep their head down and get on with their work spectacularly, heâs only been here since February and I feel like thereâs more drama than with non playing staff than in the past 10 years! I feel like the attention he draws to himself (both positive and negative) could have an impact on whether he stays on past this season. Keep his head down and keep producing great content and heâll be fine. That sounds like good advice to me. He seemed like a decent enough lad when he was on TSBW, just last week I think... so hopefully this little contretemps will pass over and he'll grow his profile by letting his work do the talking.

Yeah, completely agree. It becomes performative 'limbs' rather than natural joy and celebration. Agree on the feedback point too; if you're asking for it and being interactive with the fanbase then you've got to take the rough with the smooth. Not everybody's going to like your content. Yep, dead right. You see it on those dire âaway daysâ accounts. Some drip in a knock off Stone Island jacket on his arse four rows forward from where he started. Iâve been going to games 30 years and not once has there ever been any situation where that could happen without it being forced or exaggerated. Last word on it from me now as donât want it to turn into something he can get mardy about but, if youâre reading this, probably a good idea to stop blocking people just because you donât like their views. If theyâre laying into you/being abusive then fair enough, but itâs not a great look blocking just because of a difference of views. They might not be being abusive but they're also not offering constructive advice. They've basically initiated a pile on, people calling the whole thing cringe, OP liking the replies. Tom is well within his rights to remove that sort of toxicity and negativity from his life, especially as he's openly admitted he is struggling. Tough gig being a freelancer.

Agree he can block who he wants but probably better to have a social media account for his freelance work and one for himself to separate that.

The original tweet and replies didn't tag him so he's only blocked out something he wouldn't have been aware of had he not sought it out in the first place.

I love how doing the equivalent of slagging someone off behind their back is somehow deemed better than the equivalent of doing it to their face. Social media is such a vile cesspit.

Again though, is it really that critical of him? Can people not criticise fans for looking for the camera after a goal, then someone else saying they dislike the videos as a whole? Not only were the comments not sent at him directly, they weren't aimed at him 'behind his back' either because they weren't really about him. It all seems like a massive overreaction.

Heâs not getting slagged off, the whole Twitter thread is about modern day football fan culture really, itâs a perfectly reasonable position to appreciate the quality of his work and at the same time cringe at the âooh look at me/can I have your shirtâ of it all

Maybe but not necessarily, the following page on twitter shows all sorts of random tweets from people you don't follow. If he is seeking them out, then he shouldn't for his own good but either way, I still think it's perfectly reasonable to block them.

We got away with one for their disallowed goal didn't we? That's never a foul for me. Johnson goes down way too easily, could easily have cost us.

It was soft but the ref had been giving similar all afternoon. Woots and Horsfall both had fouls given against them on a few occasions when trying to challenge for corners etc.
