Just to let everyone know... our first few away games unfortunately coincide with weekends when I'm either heading off on holiday, on the way back, or driving Young GeordieHatter up to Scotland to start his new University term. So it will be on the morning of our trip to MK Dons (Sept 16th) that your essential pre-match build-up will be back on air... and by that time I will be raring to go I can tell you!
Set your alarms now everyone, and I'll see you there.

Just in time for us to start actually winning some games on our travels (and let's hope that trend can continue...) The AwayDay Show returns on Saturday, with all your usual features: Insight into the opposition/away town (massive Asda and life-size concrete cows sure to figure)... DC interview highlights... results of our Poll Taking the Pulse of the County Nation... and a drawer-full of Top Tunes to get your journey to Buckinghamshire/ boycott behind your closed living room curtains off to a bouncing start. Join us from 930AM for your regulation 90 minutes of cracking County-themed content- right here: AwayDay Show- MK Dons

And certainly their Milton Keynes credentials are beyond reproach. Very much in contention for a place in Saturday's starting line-up.

On the AwayDay Show this morning we featured tracks from Pulp, The Vaselines, and (by recommendation from Imposter of this very parish) Milton Keynes' very own Punk/Ska rockers of note, Capdown. There was also time to learn of where to buy a wok in the vicinity of the MK Bowl, and to get a lowdown on their concrete cows/luxurious cycle paths/network of mini-roundabouts. Oh and we looked forward to this afternoon's action in the second half of our Autumn Womble Double- that also! If you missed us- still time to catch up before kick-off (or after the final whistle if that is when you like to listen to your match-day build-ups, and if so, no judgement here, we are, as it is often said, a Wide Church..): AwayDay Show- MK Dons

And a bit of Harrison Birtwistle chamber music. That goes without saying Just throwing down a challenge for Geordie, this could get daft.

Prog Rock? Possibly not, this time...

Just throwing down a challenge for Geordie, this could get daft. It's a pretty eclectic playlist that's coming together for Saturday, I'll say that. Whether we can stretch to chamber music though (even chamber music from Accrington)- let's say that's an outside bet at best!

Possibly not, this time... I like to think I have a fairly catholic taste in music but it doesn't stretch to Prog or Chamber Music.
