County fans are incredibly blessed with the amount and variety of social media to keep us going between matches and the AwayDay Show is up there with the very best of it all. Thanks for doing it, GH, it's much appreciated.

It's been too long! The AwayDay Show finally gets to set its (and the County Nation's) alarm clocks for a Saturday morning, as our high-flying Hatters travel across the Pennines to face a Notts outfit in free-scoring form under interim boss Jim O'Brien. Your essential match-day build-up comes brimming with all the usual features, including insight from the dugouts, brand new Quiz section.... and a drawer-full of top tunes I've been saving up since Christmas (not including any actual Christmas ones though- that would be mad and probably very bad-luck-inducing!). The Show goes live from 930AM wherever you get your internets- and each and every one of you is cordially invited to participate- right here: AwayDay Show- Notts

Just amended the title of this thread to confirm that regardless of the outcome of the pitch inspection at Meadow Lane tomorrow morning, the AwayDay Show- providing your essential build-up to this possible football match- remains ON. Kick-off at our traditional 930AM.
If extra incentive is needed to tune in.... then I can advise our Fantastic Fan Guest tomorrow emanates from this very parish- Mr David Schofield, no less! David's Edgeley Roundabout Island Disc is lined up on the turntable ready to go... and I can advise it is a Notts-based belter (also that it is not the Sleaford Mods*, although they are featuring separately and later, which will be either very welcome news for you or the opposite depending on your tastes. They do divide opinion, I believe...).
*Not one of their most profanity-rich ones. On account of how my mother will be listening.

Tremendous to be joined on the Show this morning by none other than noted resident of this parish Mr David Schofield. We talked transfer window wishes, promotion prospects... and agreed that Jake Bugg ( David's Edgeley Roundabout Island Disc selection) is Nottingham's answer to Bob Dylan (we also agreed to disagree on the Sleaford Mods...) Also featured: Petula Clark singing in French, our new 'played for both' Quiz section.... and the results of our poll confirming the County Nation's unbridled joy at the signing of Odin Bailey. Oh and an encyclopeadic look into the city of Nottingham (which, you never know, we may get to visit some time). All this and more, listen-back-able, right here: AwayDay Show- Notts County

As mentioned at the end of last week's Show everyone- in a frankly disturbing development which I have no intention of ever repeating if I can avoid it... my Saturday tomorrow is entirely taken up by an unavoidable work engagement. Unfortunately this does mean there will be no AwayDay Show for our Doncaster trip. Apologies to all, and rest assured normal service will be resumed next time out!

After that frankly disconcerting (at least for me) work-related enforced absence last time out... the AwayDay Show is mightily pleased to advise of its return this coming Saturday, as we make the long trip East to face those Blundell Park bogeymen (or not bogeymen at all, depending on your view of the relevant statistics). We'll have all the usual features- encyclopaedic look into the away town (so that would be Cleethorpes); a Fantastic Fan Guest (this one is quite a corker by the way, I mean they've written actual books about us.....).. and oh yes the tunes, the tunes! Join us and join in if you will .... right here, right from 930AM matchday morning: AwayDay Show- Grimsby

On the AwayDay Show this morning we featured top tracks from The Kinks, The Slits, and the Just Joans... recalled terrace anthems of yesteryear ('Up in the Cheadle End'..) with our Fantastic Fan Guest Phil Brennan... picked out opposition players to watch this afternoon... and followed the progress of the Fingerpost Flyer on its odyssey out of Offerton, to Cleethorpes via Brigg. Still time to catch up before kick-off- right here: AwayDay Show- Grimsby

After a week of mixed fortunes, our travel-happy Hatters hit The Leisure Peninsula, where a shortish excursion leads us to the Prenton Park lair of a Tranmere Rovers outfit who've been guided by recently-installed boss Nigel Adkins narrowly away from the League Two trap-door berths. Your essential match-day build-up goes live from 930AM, and if I was a betting man (which I am) then I would be laying a not-inconsiderable wager that, alongside your County-themed chat, insight into the away town/team, and results of our poll taking the pulse of the County Nation, etc... Birkenhead's very own Half Man Half Biscuit will feature on the playlist. Well it would be rude not to (and very strange, since i play them nigh-on every week regardless...). Join us if you will- right here: AwayDay Show- Tranmere

On the AwayDay Show this morning I was joined by Fantastic County Fan Guest Clare Jeffs to talk Powell's pass, away-trip car-playlists, proper old-fashioned four-sided football grounds... and look forward to us bouncing back into form at one of them this afternoon! If you're lucky enough to have a ticket for that packed away end (or wherever/however you are following us this PM..) there's still time to make the Show an essential part of you pre-match build-up- right here: AwayDay Show- Tranmere

Hi everyone- I'm away this weekend (a much better excuse/reason than last time when work got in the way; it's Frankie/Young Geordie Hatter's 20th birthday on the 29th and we're off to meet him in Lake District Saturday/Sunday..)... so I'm afraid there is no AwayDay Show for Colchester on Saturday.
HOWEVER... to make up for missing one out, I'm going to do an extra 'Home' AwayDay Show for the Newport game on the 9th so we can all set our alarms for that right now. In addition- we'll go again with the usual Saturday 930AM kick-off time for Crawley on the 16th (even though the game is on Monday, as we all know the Show belongs on Saturday mornings, like the football...) ... and then (notwithstanding what I have just said about everything belonging on Saturdays) there will also be a Show for Forest Green on Good Friday- this will possibly be on the actual matchday morning, or failing that (ie if I am already away up in the North East visiting Geordie family as per Easter tradition..) that Show will go out on an evening in advance- probably the Thursday.
Hoping all that is as clear as it can be- I can assure you it adds up to an actual bumper month of March for the AwayDay Show- just not starting quite yet!
Thanks for reading- GH

Do Not Adjust Your Sets! As previously promised on these pages, the AwayDay Show makes a rare local outing this week, as we build up to the vital clash with our namesakes from Gwent. Apart from the closer-to-home setting- we will bring you the Same Old Show, complete with News from the Dugouts, Fantastic Fan Guest.. and you never know, we may still have our encyclopaedic look into the town of Newport, even though nobody is going there this weekend (not for the football, anyway). We'll definitely feature a band or two from that neck of the woods... among a barrowful of tunes handpicked to set us bouncing all the way... to SK3! Join us and help us get the conversation going, from 930AM Matchday- right here: AwayDay Show- Newport (h)

Fantastic to be joined on The Show this morning by Des Jnr- to talk Fleetwood Mac-inspired terrace anthems of our glorious 90s, the present title/promotion race... and his epic SK street-walking odyssey in aid of the vital cause of Mentell. Also- results of the poll (quite a talking point this week!) and top tracks from Lily Allen, Sandy Shaw, Newport's very own Goldie Lookin Chain... and our own very own Blossoms! Still time to catch your essential match-day build-up before making the short trip down to SK3- right here: AwayDay Show- Newport (h)

Hi everyone- just to let you know that in spite of my best intentions as posted above there will unfortunately NOT be an AwayDay Show for Forest Green... we're away up to the North East visiting the Geordie branch of the family for Easter and it just hasn't been possible to fit in getting a broadcast together. Apologies for any planned match-day build-ups thereby compromised, and safe journeys down and back for those making the trip- I'll be back on air for Sutton (a)- normal time for your Same Old Show- ie 930AM.
Let's hope for 6 points on the board by then- Happy Easter to each and every one of the County Nation in the meantime!
