ValleyHatter said chris powell turned them down because the squad was not good enough for promotion. Here we go again with the P word. Any manager with some confidence in themselves should be happy to turn things around to do the best with what he has got and getting the best league position possible even if promotion is not achieved. Everything now is so short term in football. Agreed. And why do I feel so strongly, deep inside, that if we can just consolidate this season in this division, that it's gunna be a good result. I'm negative at heart. I can see us being in a right relegation romp in another dozen or so games. |

Shades of Dave Jones,s first season with us with a mid table finish and some good recruitment next summer when those out of contract leave. The season is no where over unless fans have only two interests promotion or the PO for their attendance at games. Might make a few more level headed with a mid table finish this term. |

Mid table finish is fine when you have Mid table budgets. Jim Gannon could have got us to this point with a fraction of whats been spent though. I'm not Jim's biggest fan by the way but f*ck me everything felt better when he was in the dug out & the club was growing organically, at least we knew he was County through & through. Imagine all the money Stott could have saved himself too.

Stott was never coming in to go "Right, what I want to do is save loads of money so I'm not going to spend what is required to compete against Wrexham and Notts County." What you're talking about is a parallel universe / historical scenarios. Anyhow. 3 points today and a good reception for DC is what is required as a fan base. |

I was a bit grumpy last night because we'd made a bit of an effort to go and see a Spanish band we've not seen before play at a bar we'd not been to before. Somebody on Mojacar Live - normally a very good source as to who's on where and when around here - had got their wires crossed and nobody had told the bar or the band that they were playing there last night. So, I had the few pints I was planning to have but circumstances meant I was posting shite on here rather than listening to some Spanish covers in said bar!!! 😂😂😂 |

I'm not convinced by Challinor at all but Mark Hughes? I could pick 20 L2 managers I'd prefer to him. He's had a decent budget at Bradford and they've been nowhere near good enough during his time there. |
