They obviously get results and everyone bums them with the Hollywood bollocks but I’d like to think it’s a good distraction and we’re quietly doing business whilst folk are fussing about them and we look miles better than them tactically too. Was worried with the injuries but I think now we’ll be okay.

That gulf in quality wasn't so evident at Portman Rd. though was it? where a step 6 side beat a side genuinely challenging for promotion to the premier league. It kind of was though. Ipswich absolutely battered them in every possible metric bar the one that matters most. Maidstone had 2 shots to Ipswich's 38, 0 corners to Ipswich's 11 and 22% possession to Ipswich's 78%; stats you'd see in a high-scoring drubbing 99% of the time. It truly was a freak result. Which proves the point football isn't about metrics.

Our old mate from RedHotSexxxyPassion thinks it shows how they’re a marked club that Blackburn played a full strength team last night, hilariously. Nothing to do with them being a struggling Championship team with a home tie vs Newcastle to go for? Everybody’s cup final though, aren’t they? Tragic.

In fairness, they are a marked club to an extent. Lay down with dogs, expect to get fleas.

Ipswich mauled them but just didn't take their chances. Maidstone very much looked like the under-siege sixth-tier team against the second-tier team who were miles better in every way bar the most important way on the day. They deserve all the credit in the world for pulling off an incredible result, but they weren't evenly matched and it was the epitome of a smash and grab.

No. You probably play that game 99 more times and Maidstone don't win another.

Jurassic Parky is looking a very dated manager. He's a dated manager that's got his team to 2nd in the Table in League 2 on the back of the National League Title last season and 2nd place the season before with a Wembley trip in the Trophy. Not bad for a "dated" manager.

I’ve still no doubt they’ll be a League One side next year, and they’ll overtake us eventually, maybe even this season, but until they change their manager they won’t be anything special. What more do people want Parkinson to do? - see my reply to Emver (he actually couldn't really have been more successful than he has been at Wrexham).
