Would say must win this really next week so will have to do our best with a depleated squad. Does make you wonder if questions need asking at the club about injuries. We don’t have a good track reckon, you could argue last season was just bad luck but to have the same again so soon it this season also is baffling. We are not the only ones. Wrexham have a 13 page thread titled Wrexham injury crisis on Red Passion. Unfortunately the older a player gets the recovery from injury is often longer. But I think a lot of it is bad luck plus happening to our key players.

Bottom of the league but not done too badly lately on closer inspection of the results, they've drawn a few and lost narrowly at Wrexham, it's not like they're getting hammered every week. True. They've also got one point more than us over the last three league games. It won't be easy.

Their supporters coach has cancelled because they had only 11 bookings, the mood isn't good there.

2 nil County, Tanto brace in the first half. What's the point of predictions ? Ben Hinchliffe 4 goals. They are the online equivalent of meeting mates, and someone simply saying "how do you think we'll do today?"

I’m undoubtedly biased living not far and knowing a few Sutton fans but I think it’s a shame if they drop back down. They’re not a vanity club for individuals like Salford, FGR, and even Harrogate. They’re a community club with a decent history at the top of the non league pyramid who got into the league through having an excellent season where things just clicked for them. Think they could have settled as a League 2 club if things continued to click, even had a chance at sneaking up again in their first season.

Its not like the old days of players getting a good kicking with even a worse ref than we have now. These are different types of injury that if you are not a medic you had never heard of. Modern pitches, footwear, training, i wish i knew.

Modern pitches, footwear, training, i wish i knew. That might be part of it, but the game is also played at a much higher pace than ever before. L2 now is a world away from what it was 20 years ago, as are the other divisions. We ask a lot more of players these days. That doesn't necessarily explain any big rise in injuries this year compared to last year, if that is the case, but definitely plays a part compared to the 80s/90s.

It must be being played at a faster pace but with so many teams playing ruskball its hard to imagine it is. Can players be actually over fit and is this diatery thing they have to conform to is the B all and end all just to attempt to get an edge. Got a feeling if you look up a random club somewhere who a run like us they,ll be having their problems even if not as serious as ours. Heard the words that newcastle looked out on their feet. If correct we haven,t reached christmas yet so something just is not right.

There was a lad on the train back on Saturday who thought we were shite and would take still being in the top 3 at the start of January. Reminds me of the NL championship season. I think I called it for us after beating Barnet 5-0 away, which I admit was stupidly early. But then people were still thinking we were in trouble in about mid-April when we were double figures ahead. Before anyone jumps on me, I'm not saying we've got the league sewn up already. But there's a good chance we're going into Christmas at least six points clear. I don't have the stats, but I'd love to see how many teams go on to win the league from that position. And then you've got the fact that we only need top three anyway. Like I said, not counting chickens. And that amazing run may be papering over the fact that we can, and do, go on shit runs. But come on.

Weird how when I bought tickets for Mansfield and Notts a few weeks ago, it was Notts that were on our heels, and Mansfield a bit further back. They've swapped positions.
