No direct trains from Stockport to Nottingham and a rail replacement bus to Sheffield. Brilliant them two

Right pisser that the trains are off, we still haven’t had a decent trip to Meadow Lane recently have we? The debacle under Rusk, at least one Tuesday nighter? First one back in NL was behind closed doors? It’s a great trip, middle of a big city, great ground, big atmosphere. Hope they come up with us.

Exactly. Wish i had thought and done that myself as its spot on. Those who know the continent well what would it be like there getting a train between two large cities on a saturday to watch a football match about 100 miles apart. You.d think we were talking about torquay on a tuesday night.

Stockport Birmingham, March, Ely Kings Lynn. Its not much better now.

Everything is london, london, london and is not getting any better.

Agree about moving international games across the country as well as PO finals below a certain level in these days of poor public transport facilities and shortage of money. One day there will be some ludicrous fixture happening with teams and fans having to trail hundreds of miles like a FA Trophy final between gateshead and south shields with no trains running to get fans home to show up the wembley farce. Think the wembley experiance is more in the mind that it actually is and once done once its really another big ground you have ticked off especially after being ripped off from piller to post.

Despite the fact the Wembley re build would result in even less parking than the old site the Wembley option was chosen and Manchester and Birmingham snubbed. I find it ridiculous when two Northern clubs have to trek down to London for cup semi finals.and play off games when a more central location in the Country is more practical and fairer.. When England went on tour during the Wembley re- build the atmospheres at places like St James park, Sadium of Light, Old Trafford and Anfield was a lot better as well. www.theguardian.com/football/2001/may/02/newsstory.sport6

Anyone else not get the ticket email for this?
Only remembered because this thread had posts on it. Quite a few sold, but still at least a couple of hundred left.
