More of a one for older fans who remember some sort of past For me its the extra choice we now have for eating both at home and outside. Once a chippy was just fish and chips and that was it. Even a small cafe only served take it or leave it at dinner time{ lunch is for southerners} with very little choice if any.

The internet. 30 years ago I was living in Somerset for a year so didn’t get to many games, if I missed Final Score I had to go to the paper shop on Sunday morning to find out how County had got on, now with a bit of jigery pokery I can watch every game

Don't know how to do it though and I'd love to share it on here.

But with a fake accent and a certain amount of exploitation of the call centre employee’s weak grasp of geography, I managed to make the case that I didn’t live in a country that still had a team in the competition, and so could snap up a couple of “neutral” tickets for me and my flatmate…

We all moan about on line ticketing for away games that are all ticket, but remember the days we had only one option , trail down to EP at a certain time and queue no matter the weather.

The contraceptive pill
Arguably the most significant contributor to equality ever, certainly the biggest single action

At the risk of straying into the politics thread...
Comparing to what it was like growing up in the 70/80s
General food quality
Cleaner air and waterways
Working conditions... working in the chemical industry I shudder at some of the things we thought ok.
Greater freedom to be who you want to be... I no longer drink and don't eat meat (yeah I'm fun at parties), in my 20's someone like that would be laughed at, now most people couldn't give two shits.
Cars that don't rust away as soon as you look at them.

They'll never have the experience of hanging around outside the newsagents making sure the coast is clear before they go in & make a grab for the top shelf, plonking the mag on the counter whilst the newsagent gives them a knowing look of shame or 'I know what you'll be doing in 15 minutes' then just as the purchase is being made the girl you've fancied for ages or your mum's best friend walks in

Dunno about the cars, Mrs Fangled Hybrid goes as flat as a witches if it is left more than 2 days, teeny battery which just for fun is in the boot which can only be opened electronically 🤣 airport car parks are gonna be full of flat hybrids, leave them 2 weeks nay chance. My old Civic would be fine for weeks.

My old Civic would be fine for weeks. I left my hybrid - a Ford Puma - at Almeria Airport for 3 weeks when we went to South America and it started first time upon our return. We just couldn't get out of the car park coz I'd f*cked up the date we got back!!! 😲🤣
