The game that made you smitten with County, forever? Bored a lot on here with tales of County/Liverpool 84/85 (Home) West Ham/County 96/97 (away) as mine. What is the game you attended and thought "no way back from here", this is my team/club/friends and I'm a Hatter for life? I don’t know why, but Crewe in 2009. The swan-song of the first Jim Gannon era, a last hurrah before everything fell apart. The journey back has been a lot sweeter than where we’ve been, hasn’t it?

My first game was a 1-0 loss away to Rochdale at the beginning of the 1990-91 season. It was memorable as it was my first game and I remember it vividly. My dad was in the Adswood hotel and nipped back home as it was at the end of our road and asked me if I wanted to come to County with him. We got a minibus to Spotland and I had to sit on the steps of the bus! He bought me a program and I was checking who the players were from it, especially our number 9 - big Paul Williams. Even though we lost it was the start of things to come and a few home games later I was a fully fledged County fan for life!
