Most of the comments on here regarding kit pretty much date the contributor to within a few years of their birth and give away their age. Go on then, have a guess at ages of those who have posted in the last few pages. Given the vast majority of members are blokes between 25-55 it shouldn’t be too difficult. Perhaps it has to do with what other thing the 3rd shirt reminds you of? I’m going for a Refresher.

Nice to know. But what does the kit remind you of?
Here all week. Try the vegan casserole, etc.

Most of those who love the abominations of the 1990’s kits (the Wembley appearances) started coming in the Danny years and became hooked soon after, hence the inexplicable numbers who like this season’s retro-3rd kit, a message unfortunately picked up by Tim Mahon who has basically told us that red will be back splattered on next season’s home kit (though even I thought last season’s looked distinctive). These prejudices apply equally to myself as someone who prefers by far the blue/blue/white, simply because that was how I first saw County in 1966/67. The only other thing I would add is that those kits married to the taste and style of an age tend to become widows in the next, and I prefer modern kits - within a traditional framework - by far.

It’s an indisputable fact that all of our best shirts have had red on them. I first said that about ten years ago and glad to hear it now being repeated by the club. Our avoidance of red for the past 30 years has led to some woeful kits. Red as a tertiary/accent colour works brilliantly with blue and white. Would happily have a red away kit too. Sov Rubber in 89/90 and Gordon Ford in 90/91 both red away kits. Both some of our best ever. I just hope we look forward with them and don’t try and lazily recreate something from the past.

The 90s kits were some of the best we’ve ever had!

I know plenty who started going in the 80s who like the 90s era kits, even know a few who I think started in the 70s though I don’t like to presume someone’s age.

I love a black and white away kit. I Don’t know whether it’s because of the memories it conjures up from 96-97, but I always think it looked so imposing when we had those colours.
The Wembley kits were a work of art and last seasons nod to them was well done, although the quality of the kits I think is shite from Puma

Might be boring for some but fashions and colours vary in popularity from fan to fan. For me some of those 90,s kits were gross but dominated by the fashions of the time.

I still maintain that an Atletico Madrid style kit (red and white vertical striped top, blue shorts and red/white socks) would be great as an away kit. I loved that Sovereign Rubber all red away kit we wore in the 90s too.

Something a still find a little odd when our present blue is closer to being sky rather than navy blue which i,d prefer.
