I reckon I'll get told off for this and I probably should wait for a diagnosis but Sam Hughes. Comes into a new club, not a starter, gets his chance, gets a kick, gets up runs round alright and then goes down to get subbed off. Walks around the pitch and down the tunnel without as much of a limp. Am I being harsh to say fight through the pain a bit more? He's one of the senior players leading a bunch of kids who are getting a hiding. Won't be starting Saturday anyway. Won't be in line to start again until the Bristol Street Motors unless we get a Centre Half injury. We may have players coming back in soon. Just frustrating to be honest.
If we had to put a centre half in I reckon I'd go Onyango now anyway.
Have you not learnt from your Knoyle comment? You wanted him to carry on and he’s out for 3-4 months. I’d suggest you leave the physio and players themselves to judge their injuries.

Low point of the night, the morons at the back doing the Poznan. Oh and the stewards demanding to see your ticket to get back in UT everytime you went to the concourse. Ridiculous Were they really doing the actual Poznan? 🙄 Only a handful... the drum/drummer also got kicked out. Line of stewards behind the back row also telling UT3 to sit down.. and they did for most of 2nd half. FTP was also sung again by a handful too.

He went down several times before he went off and, to be honest, going off was the sensible thing in our situation.

At least it’s peeing it down on their fans in the railway end. That’ll make their 5-0 win less glamorous. Only they were in the pop side…. 🤣🤣

One positive. Lewis Bate is not in a leg brace 👍. Chally said pre match he should be fine for Blackpool.

Weird how predictable that is when you say something really stupid.

We’ve done it every season since we got back in the league, this isn’t a one-off. We just treat it as a disposable thing and we’re clearly not arsed about it. Have we? First season beat Harrogate and lost to Leicester on penalties. Last season we were seconds away from beating Sheffield Wednesday, then lost on penalties. Tonight is just one of those but is the only one that fits your narrative there. We made plenty of changes for those games too, despite the results. I remember being so disappointed we put out a team with loads of changes against Leicester, to a lesser extent v Wednesday too although think we only made 3/4 changes for that.

Money clearly flown in on backburn, they’re as short as 1/2 now. Opened around 6/4, can work out how strong our line up is going to be from that! I can make a half decent profit now, just by cashing out the bets I placed 3 days ago. I won't though. If we are going to get thrashed tonight I'd like to be appropriately compensated. Put £425 on at 11/8 sunday me for £1009 return was offered £735 to cashout before ball was kicked, paid for some of China trip

An embarrassment injury apparently The only thing bruised was his ego.
Fair play to the young lads for carrying on and not going under.
I thought Camps led by example second half as a senior player. I think he could have his best season for us, he and Bate spoke the same footballing language on Saturday. Lets hope they line up together in the middle of the park at Blackpool.

This is bleak. Closing the Popside to home fans rather than sticking half the Blackburn fans in the rain really helped the atmosphere didn’t it, Tom Mahon? Fml 2-0. It’s men against boys and even the senior players look lost. Not been impressed with Hughes in the slightest. Hughes only seen bits obv but looks a big, lead footed lump, not sure he looks like a player they said could play right of a 3, Akil Wright looks 3-4 times the player would rather kept him, only first impressions but not impressed at all

Just listened to this and it's surprisingly tough, but fair, from DC. Praise for the young lads but also plenty of constructive criticism, in particular for Okeke and his marking from corners as well as the team for defending corners/tracking runners. He really is a serial winner who will always demand more. Very much that they've had an unexpected opportunity and it's up to them what they take from it.
He always puts in a nugget, like communication being a dying art. Then he's just reminded me he was also a no nonsense CB who can be pragmatic - basically saying that whilst we couldn't compete with them on a ball, maybe we should have tried to match the physicality and put a few more on their backsides.
