Well if we do see Super Al back at EP, I hope for one that Ryan has no involvement in the day and AA's award for being inducted into the hall of fame should be presented by you for bringing it up in the first place!

I'd probably collapse on the floor and start crying if I got the chance to do that. I hope he doesn't ask for his Chesterfield shirt back, because he's not having it.

Luis Cavaco. I bloody loved that little fella! His diving header against Southampton remains my favourite County goal. This. Luis Cavaco pretty much single-handedly got me hooked on County.

Chris Byrne, not be heard of for years has he? Maybe he got sent down without anyone noticing Think he got sent down for nicking boilers a few years back. I also remember something about a chemists getting done over that he was involved in.

Neil Matthews Ian Mclnerney Matt Bound Dave Miller Michael Oliver Damon Searle Neil Matthews? I must have remembered a different Neil Matthews to you I thought he was always out injured and ran the ball out of touch everytime! Didn't we pay Bury a fair whack for him as well? About £150k wasn't it?

He was 80k from Halifax IIRC - Record signing at the time.
Scored the 1st against Scunthorpe (I think)
Was always injured though but not a bad return of 15 goals in 33 games (thanks Wiki) between 1990-92

I'm going to email Ryan now. Not that I'll get a response, but it's happening. I might even start a petition and have a photo of me looking surly with my arms folded in the Express. Dear Mr Sue DeHead Unfortunately I'm going to have to dismiss your request for Alun Armstrong to enter the Hall of Fame because I've never really rated his acting skills apart from his roles in Little Dorrit and New Tricks and cannot see a connection with him to the football club. Kind Regards Ryan

Ian Lawson was an ok striker, also from Bury, that didn't play many games for us, nor score many goals. Neil Matthews, however, was a goal machine towards the end of the 90-91 season and helped us to promotion.
