Talking of Le Fondre.....his defining game for me was when he came off the bench with us trailing 1-0 at home to Grimsby the year we miraculously stayed up. Tes Bramble had just rounded the keeper and fell over and feigned an injury. Le Fondre comes on and bags a brace against a team in the playoffs. His second was a lob over the keeper that hung in the air for what seemed forever. I remember going bananas when it dropped in.

Walter said :Kev any game, but possibly debut v Lincoln or York away.
'Twas Lincoln - funny to watch him and Toddy warming up on the touchline!

Dave Sunley's goal against Sunderland in the cup, scored at the Cheadle End. He was more defined by his tash rather than a particular game

'Twas Lincoln - funny to watch him and Toddy warming up on the touchline! Lincoln for that rare feeling where we may be seeing some one who may make a difference and York where one of those times when he winked at the fans before a corner. True connection to the fans Priceless.

In recent memory I'd say Dickinson against Wycombe in the play off semi, the strength and desire for that goal and he was at the peak of his form then, Proudlock in the 6-0 Wycombe win (another time we stitched it to that lovely Paul Lambert chap) and a sadder memory, given the circumstances, but Tansey against Northampton the day we pretty much got relegated. His goal was one of the best I've seen at EP and I've never seen a bloke so gutted to not get a free kick on target.
Other memories: I'd say Big Kev giving Darren Peacock a tortuous afternoon against QPR in 1994, Kilner coming from nowhere (or Sweden, perhaps) to score twice against Wrexham in 1990 a few days after he'd posted an ad in the MEN asking for a trial (what an impact he had that season) and finally, although I can't remember him doing anything else in a County shirt, the way Ken Charlery kept the ball in the corner during the seemingly endless injury time against Chesterfield in 1997 still sticks in my mind today, almost as much as the goal that night!

I remember Peter Duffield coming on as a sub and changing the game. Pretty sure it was his last game of a loan spell and the old popside were chanting for Danny to sign him up.

The Michael Raynes goal against Oldham sticks out in my mind too. It was all the sweeter because I was talking to some Oldham fans before the game and said I thought County would win. They were quite scathing because they were top of the League while we were struggling.

Going back to the sixties,I'll never forget Ian Sandiford rising above the Bristol defence to nod us through to the FA Cup 6th round.Or the Len White goal that followed it at Anfield.

Michael Raines vs Oldham at home. One of my favourite home games in the last 10 years, possibly ever. Lobbing the keeper to make it 3-1. Oh I'm getting goosebumps. Completely agree. Friday night game as well. Had everything that.
