Honestly think its time for this stuff to end, I know its an unpopular opinion and I am sure the people doing it enjoy it and its a unique way to them of helping the club; but I think the club should be redirecting their good gestures to other means around the community. We have the money now that we can pay for it ourselves. I agree with you, the very least the club can do if they're accepting the help of fans to help with upkeep around EP they can reimburse them in some form. A Season Ticket or a free day in corporate. I have always thought that it's as much a social thing for those that do it. Agree that some sort of recognition would be nice. Yes that is a fair point, its usually the same people so hope their efforts are privately recognised.

Name 3 examples of the club, post Stott, pissing out money for absolutely no reason. Slightly off piste, but prompted by your comments, I hope they've sorted the CE toilets out. Surely off pissed?

College buildings at the very foreground. One of the Hillgate towers probably, maybe Wellington House. You'd have a great view of EP working at St Christopher's, too I did when I worked on the 6th floor there for a year or so about 20 years ago.

Not sure it’s down to anyone other than the people themselves to decide if they want to help the club and how (if) they should be rewarded. With regards to suggestions that they could help elsewhere in the community a) Help the Hatters do support a few other local organisations b) many people who volunteer tend to do so with a business/charity that they feel they have an affinity with. I also believe that HTH do occasionally get some sort of small reward/recognition from the club.

So you're telling me we didnt sign Andy Cannon because we wrote The Cheadle End on the Cheadle End instead!? FFS Wilson out!! What does Andy Cannon have to do with it ffs. I don't see why I'm being attacked for having an opinion. The Cheadle End was fine as it was, I'm sick of this club pissing out money for no reason You haven't been attacked, it's just people disagreeing with you and matching your tone. I think it looks good and I'm very happy that we have owners willing to maintain and improve the ground. It was desperately needed after years of neglect.

I think the club have moved in such a direction that when HTH or others offer their help, the club should be directing them to better projects rather than 'yeah paint some yellow lines or pick up litter'. 'better projects' such as?? Volunteering around the community to places the club has close links with. Assisting with stuff regarding the academy, especially as this is still in its infancy stages. Working with the club to help facilitate improvements to the match day experience Helping the ticket office sort season tickets for collection Providing close season support for events associated with the club Using the club facilities as part of their help for HTH events and fundraising. I am sure they do lots of this too, I am fully aware as an organisation they don't just clean up after matches at EP. I don't work at the club to understand where they need support or not, but given the millions we have spent improving the infrastructure and are moving to being run like a professional entity it feels a bit old news to be relying on volunteers to be doing things which the club can afford to employ to do or pay for themselves to have professional contractors manage upkeep of the stadium. As I've already agreed, I understand it is mostly a social thing at this point now its no longer that we haven't got a pot to piss in and it's already been mentioned that they are now rewarded/recognised for their efforts. However, if they weren't it wouldn't sit right with me in the same way it wouldn't if a rich company was taking advantage of people offering to clean the office for free because they have an affinity towards the company or whatever.

I watched some highlights the other day when we’d dropped to the NLN and were proper bobbins. The ground looked awful and really tired. There were barely any adverts around the pitch and still had them awful rugby buffers. We were almost dead as a club. The CE looked awful too. It looks brilliant now. The little extras like the signage finishes it off perfectly.
Odd that anyone could possibly take issue with it.
The cashless thing too. It’s 2022. And it states there still will be options, just less. People need to relax.

Hmm, hope that’s not the only action they’ve taken to speed things up They need to scrap the two pinters at half time IMO or develop a better system of pouring them, really pisses me off when someone in front of you orders 4 2 pinters, seriously slows things down at the bar to a snails pace. Stupid concept anyway for the setting, Don't get me wrong I like a drink or 5 but is it really necessary to ram 2 pints down your neck in a 15 minute interval? If they're going to persist with them they should do a calculation of how many on average they sell & pre-pour a percentage of that total to save time.

Still quicker than them ordering 8 single pints instead!! Enjoy a drink but personally never got the need or necessity to rush a pint in a plastic pot down me in a 15 min break that by time been served have about 5 mins to drink if dont wanna miss much of 2nd half Plenty of time before and after game for me to drink as much as i wish Each to their own i suppose

Other than when I’ve done corporate, the last half time pint I had at EP was Carlisle in 2006. And that was shite. Bet it’ll still be chaos on the concourse at half time on Saturday.
