They need to scrap the two pinters at half time IMO or develop a better system of pouring them, really pisses me off when someone in front of you orders 4 2 pinters, seriously slows things down at the bar to a snails pace. Stupid concept anyway for the setting, Don't get me wrong I like a drink or 5 but is it really necessary to ram 2 pints down your neck in a 15 minute interval? If they're going to persist with them they should do a calculation of how many on average they sell & pre-pour a percentage of that total to save time. Still quicker than them ordering 8 single pints instead!! Enjoy a drink but personally never got the need or necessity to rush a pint in a plastic pot down me in a 15 min break that by time been served have about 5 mins to drink if dont wanna miss much of 2nd half Plenty of time before and after game for me to drink as much as i wish Each to their own i suppose Totally agree & Im usually well oiled beforehand so I'm not that arsed about a half time pint for exactly that reason, but the lad I go with always insists on one & it ends up in exactly that scenario! trying to rush an overpriced usually crap pint down in a plastic pot in 5 minutes! It was a step in the right direction last season putting neck oil on rather than having to suffer the usual standard crap but still the same routine

Other than when I’ve done corporate, the last half time pint I had at EP was Carlisle in 2006. And that was shite. Bet it’ll still be chaos on the concourse at half time on Saturday. Thought having a pint was supposed to be a restful way to unwind. It is each to their own again but seems pointless missing the start of the second half and the last few minutes of the first to top up what you have drunk pre match. If fans find it a necessity i think they should have a look at themselves as being a smoker i,d do something if i could not get through a couple of hours at a game without a fag.

The cashless thing too. It’s 2022. And it states there still will be options, just less. People need to relax. Glad there is an option unlike at accrington where its card or starve. Bit embarrasing at my age asking someone like saying, hey mister here is my money can you buy me a pie.

As someone who just has one or two before the game I quite like my half time pint as having two pints then sitting down for 2 hours is a bit meh, end up with a mini hangover!
I'm ok queing for it but only because half time is boring. If the queue looks absolutely mental though I won't get one, its not an absolute neccessity, just something I enjoy.

I thought it was just me who felt like this! I occasionally have one at half time, but don't tend to bother because of the queues.

Each to their own, obviously, but I think the price and quality of the beer has got a lot better since the refurbishment. The Heineken is quite nice and only (!) four quid with the season ticket discount.

I watched some highlights the other day when we’d dropped to the NLN and were proper bobbins. The ground looked awful and really tired. There were barely any adverts around the pitch and still had them awful rugby buffers. We were almost dead as a club. The CE looked awful too. It looks brilliant now. The little extras like the signage finishes it off perfectly. Odd that anyone could possibly take issue with it. The cashless thing too. It’s 2022. And it states there still will be options, just less. People need to relax. Whatever made you watch 'highlights' from that awful period, if it's even possible to call anything from then 'highlights'

How do you get money out out of the bank? Living in yorkshire i have to say as rarely as possible and the spending of it should be made a criminal offence. Seriously though i go once a week, draw out what cash i need and use that. Always done it and see no reason to change. Seems pointless for me to use a card for a small transaction in the same way as drawing out 4k in cash to buy a car would.

I find using a card saves me money, if I was using cash I'd round up what I draw out to cover my costs, so for instance if I spend £8 at the bar, I'd have drawn out a tenner, multiply this many times over on a night out and it adds up, I used to get home with pockets full of change, I never put that money back in the bank, now it just stays there.

To be fair, I used to do something similar up until fairly recently since it helped with budgeting. I don’t anymore, but might have to go back if this cost of living business bites much deeper…
