The cladding on the side of the cheadle will also get done surely? I'm sure it will but it won't be a simple cherrypicker job like the rear was, 'cos of the stair section I assume so as the brackets for the cladding to be fastened too have already been added.

If we aren't to play any games this season or play any in front of fans it would make good sense to fast track the redevelopment and get as much done as quickly as possible on all four sides, start knocking bits down and get the ball rolling.

Fairly low quality ones as had to upload via Facebook as usual image hosting site is down, can do more detailed ones later. But you can see new seats almost completed in the Railway End, removal of stand banners on the Popside, looks like they’re putting a new one on the Main Stand, cladding completed on the back of the Cheadle End and at the top facing the pitch, and the old big sponsor boards at the top of the CE removed too. All of this is visible from the street, I didn’t sneak in or anything. [ Apologies for the low res photos, will repost more detailed quality ones later. Even though it needs replacing, isn’t it nice to see the Pop Side roof without that banner on it? I was going to say the same

It was the only thing that kept the Yellow Blockers dry when it rained.

I reckon the chances of new roofs for that and the Main Stand are pretty slim. They're both surely riddled with asbestos?

The really bad asbestos isn't the stuff you have in a roof, so whilst you need contractors with the appropriate qualifications and insurance, and waste disposal, it isn't actually that horrendous a job. If it was that much of a risk nobody would be sat underneath it!

New banners are a lot cheaper and would certainly do the job on the Pop side roof! Don't see anything else happening there, if it's to be rebuilt fairly soon anyway. The Main stand is a different case, though: the roof definitely needs recladding as it's coming up for 85 years old... but whether the roof structure is simply overhauled (basically, reclad) or completely replaced with a more modern design will I think depend on whether the stand is to be refurbished, extended to full length, or both. An obstruction-free goalpost roof would definitely be feasible on an extended stand, assuming there was a desire to keep the current one, of course! But much more costly than simply adding a couple of new bays, one at each end, and keeping a couple of uprights. All depends on how much money is available, I guess!

Plus it's advertising room for Stott's business which, given the prominence of it on the camera-facing pitchside ad boards, is unsurprising.

Hope we're not getting those rally seats That’s it, they are standing on the mini terrace 😂 We wouldn't have gone to this extent before the takeover to ensure the players on the subs bench didn't get piles. Great bit of medical advice from the new guys.
