It’s worth saying that the Facebook group state a reduction of 24 parking spaces, rather than the 12 suggested on the Lib Dems leaflet. A third of the total planned spaces for context. I'm pretty sure the main point of opposition to this redevelopment is the lack of parking. I cannot see how removing more parking is conductive to that argument. The parking at the ground isn’t for supporters though. So it’s irrelevant to anybody who has the parking objection. This particular branch of opposition is because of the scrub wasteland behind the Popside which has been neglected for years.

Says expansion to 19,400 seats? I’m not an expert in planning in the slightest, but my assumption would be you get permission for the maximum you could want.

On further reading, there's other stuff in there that doesn't meet with what was in the plans released a few weeks ago. I guess it suits for some of it to be a bit vague.

Forget about this bloke quoting our potted history from Wikipedia, but the drone shots show how much ground space there is for redevelopment of the Popside & Railway end

Would think flying a drone in a built up residential area near an international flight path is illegal?

Would think flying a drone in a built up residential area near an international flight path is illegal? Planes over Edgeley are around 1,600 ft (~500 metres), the limit for drones anywhere is 120m, it's not going to be a danger. TV companies have flown them over EP during games before (and maybe the GMP have)

A quick call to the airport authorities and an appropriate license is all that is required to comply with Air Navigation Regulations. Interesting footage on that video though. Do some houses near the CE have garden access directly to the reservoir? Good fishing spot if so.

The club should buy the footage for our videos. Looking at the main stand made me think, is there a chance to reprofile the seats when it's re-done? The front three rows, over the old paddock, are awful - exposed to the weather and virtually flat. We seem to be obsessed with walkways at the front of stands for some reason, but I wonder if a new roof's going on, whether we could have a single bank of seats from pitch level, as most stands do?

Presume the walkways at the front are because you have to exit every stand at the front rather than the back so the width is needed for speedier (?!) exit.

To be fair, I sit in the front row, right by the wall, and haven’t really been rained on this year. Wind’s probably favourable. It’s ideal for the missus as she can’t walk well and can’t be getting up and down constantly for passing fans. Being near the front of the CE was a nightmare for her from 80 mins onwards. So we moved. Love the view from present seats as well.
