I believe 3 and Vodafone have merged/are merging, so it might improve for 3 users soon - or it might get worse for Vodafone users. Both have their own infrastructure so in theory should improve as better coverage and more capacity They should. But if 3 already has poor coverage in Stockport then they’ll be relying on Vodafone’s capacity to serve their customers.

It’s really not our song. If we must have one, which I doubt, it needs to be something unique. unless a fan/local hand make something then it won't be unique. Don't want it too unique where a handful of people know the tune and the words and then it's not loud that way. I quite like how the Wrexham one is recored by a local band/artist (atleast that's what I think it is) and then played over the speakers and it has words that actually correlate to Wrexham I shouldn't like it but I do My earliest memories of EP (which is a very long time ago) included listening to Rockin All Over The World by Quo over the crappy sound system. It must’ve been one of the only tracks they had at the time because it seemed to be played constantly. Now I’m not suggesting that should be our song but something a bit naff like it that’s easy to join in with would be great. Mr. A Partridge from Norwich would definitely agree.

Can we just be clear that the problem in EP isn’t signal, its capacity.
You’d still be able to use your phone to make a call, or use data if you were sat in the Cheadle End at 2pm on a Thursday afternoon. Edgeley is well covered by the main networks.
The issue is the capacity of the network when there’s 8-10k people all fighting to use it at once. Same as when you’re at most big sporting events, sometimes in a busy station etc.

All depending on how much headroom there is for Vodafone currently and how many 3 customers there are.

I'm on Tesco which uses O2. I can't get any Internet access from about 10 mins before kick off until I'm back in the pub. Those sat immediately around around me on EE and Vodafone seem to have no problems.

I am on EE and have great coverage at EP. My youngest is on her tablet tethered to it and I can still use my phone, albeit it is a little slower than normal sometimes.

A few times, when we've been on TV, I've even managed to stream the TV coverage to rewatch the goals etc. Perhaps there are fewer people on EE or maybe it just has better capacity?

Not sure where to post but… hopefully the club can update the plans for streaming soon… pre-season games/trials are imminent! I'll be interested to see how it works in practice. With Sky taking over, will they still use the single camera and local commentator, with automated "last five seconds" replays? Or will they throw a bit more money at it, protecting their brand? I think it tended to be single camera when they offered all the Championship games behind the red button a few seasons ago, but maybe things have moved on a bit? Best thing for me, as a Sky subscriber (via Virgin) is the fact that it'll come through the cable to my telly, so there won't be any buffering. Re County and overseas, if we're still in charge of that, it'll be easy enough to stream the feed and add Jon K over the top I suspect. (sorry, SKY)

(sorry, SKY) Last two seasons have been £140 season pass… given the step up of expected quality (football & coverage) it will be interesting to see how much they expect us to pay out

(sorry, SKY) Can't remember the exact details but read it was something like L2 single camera, L1 maybe two cameras? And yeah, some local/junior commentator. It'll be much like streaming games in Covid. There won't be pre-match studio stuff, big names building up to the games, multiple angles, recognised commentators etc except when we're an actual Sky game, rather than behind the red button (or however they do it).

I imagine the club will clarify the international broadcast arrangements nearer the time.

I'm no techno person but one lad behind us has all the scores as they fly in, others (inc me) can be waiting a full half for results apps/betting accounts to show live scores...??

There’s some masts on the Cheadle End itself aren’t there? Presumably owned by better performing networks
