Is it steak and kidney or just steak? Just steak. Beautiful, slow braised, *dribbles on phone...* That's a gamechanger for me then. Delighted with this news.

The Pop Side has a huge amount of space behind it. We could build a f*ck off stand there. That old podcast we were offered one for FREE and that Snape and Gibbons asked for money to agree to it, which f*cked it up, right up for us.

I've no reason to doubt it but do we know any specific details I.e. specificaction, capacity, facilities etc? This may help to understand the potential for the space

It was on a podcast not the Bergara Scarf one, Dave March and Phil Brennan IIRC. We were offered a big new stand with doctors surgery, podiatrist and other stuff all paid for at no cost to us, but then when they went to a London court meeting to finalise it they ask for £20k or something ridiculously stupid for turning up and they were laughed and f*cked off.
Bunch of awful c words.

Bunch of awful c words. It _was_ a Scarf Bergara Wore podcast, one of their "Dark Days" series. The club were denied the sweetener but went anyway, apparently what caused the collapse of the talks was the introduction of Tony Evans out of a blue sky. The whole series held me spellbound, if anyone hasn't heard it, I can't recommend it highly enough. Here's the relevant bit from Dark Days Part 3:

Ah, apologies. Yes it was very interesting stuff, albeit for the wrong reasons.

I've been listening to all that today, i started on the second episode but I'm going to go back and listen to the first one tomorrow. It's horrifying. Frankly I'm amazed that the club still exists.

Driving down mercian way this morning and caught a glimpse of some scaffolding on the main stand, looked like it was on the end building between the main stand and and cheadle stand. Could be something or nothing.
On a side note I'd love to se that red paintwork gone over the summer to tie in with the new cheadle end upgrade.

I'm hoping the selection of pies are on a rotary basis as at the Woking game there wasn't any Steak OR Chicken Balti pies on offer (in the CE anyway) Better yet, get these 2 pies in on a permanent basis and we're on for a winner then!

Aren't the Chicken Balti pies made by some proper bargain bin food processing outfit? All eyeballs and feet and god knows what. Would imagine the firm we've got in now have an exclusive deal on pies so probably be the end of the balti ones.

I've had nice chicken balti's in the past from like Lord of the Pies and, dare I say, even the old caterers did a good one - where it's chicken pieces etc Can't say if these also included eyeballs/feet etc but I've been none the wiser haha

They're making the windows floor to ceiling for that little bar/hospitality aren't they?

It's a real shame that when that bit was built (25 years ago?) they didn't show a bit more imagination and raise it on stilts, tapering it on a diagonal from the back of the stand down to the corner flag. They could then easily have fitted a couple of floors of boxes (or lounges) in, and not blocked the view of so many seats in that corner of the Main stand either.... maybe something along those lines could happen in the future, tying in with a new roof on the stand itself?
