He will 100% start spending money again. Those interviews were a nonsense publicity stunt!

I'd rather Chorley stayed up and Fylde went down. I realise it isn't possible but we owe Chorley a good doing on their own midden and I think relegation could be the coup de grace for Featherstonehoughtondiddle or whatever his name is.

He will 100% start spending money again. Those interviews were a nonsense publicity stunt! Perhaps, but how long would he be willing to keep dipping into his pocket for? If I had a hobby club, gave them a massive budget that made them pre-season favourites... and then they went and performed like Fylde have this season, I'd have second thoughts about things

He’ll throw money at is again next season If they stay up - I have absolutely no doubt.

He’s had a lucky escape! Bury imploding has saved them! I fully expect to see them challenging next season.

I've tried to find a forum but the only one seems hidden from lurkers. Seems there's Bury AFC that have been formed but Bury FC seem to still exist but without a league.

It's all those rants from his conservatory, about cost and everything, that suggest to me he's already getting bored

Bury AFC formed in February, accepted into the North West Counties (10th tier, 5 levels below us). They'll groundshare at Radcliffe Borough Bury FC still technically exist - Steve Dale had their assets (stadium, and owt else the club owned) moved to a new company called Bury FC Heritage, and today he's just had the striking off order against that company overturned. So there's still some pennies to be squeezed out of the carcass for him.

They’ve already offered out contract extensions to players.

National League teams have been told to prepare for the start of the season in September. That’s good news but at the same time what is this nonsense about the government classing the National as “elite sport” but the North and South isn’t?

I'd guess it's due to most teams being fully professional, whereas a level below they aren't

Can’t see crowds being allowed in at that point. Be interesting to see if clubs go for that when they’re so reliant on gate money and the furlough scheme is still in place and can cover some of the wage bill.

Not bothered about not making the playoffs from our perspective. We didn’t have a case that held up to any scrutiny anyway.
But what an utterly shit idea for how to sort it.
