Regarding newts, I am sure some of our fans could have a drinking contest with them, and win. There are plenty that tried and only managed a draw! Yes Lee Marvin I am looking at you!🤣💥🍺⚽️🥳

Regarding newts, I am sure some of our fans could have a drinking contest with them, and win. We must press this advantage. Let us be the ones to choose the field of battle, following Sun Tzu’s sage wisdom. Lure the Newt into the Armoury and drink his minions under the table. A stunning victory

Yes and the welsh are not over keen about cardiff becoming what many english feel about london. Unless things have changed in scotland i doubt many from glasgow like their parliament being in edinburgh. What will come next, wales and scotland themselves being split up into regions themselves with more money screwed out of those living there for just another tier of someone running our lives. I respectfully -00% disagree with you. All the infra spend goes in London. The Hs debacle was all about allowing Brummies to commute into London hence why it was never coming here. The more local the democracy the better. How much local democracy do you want. You have the metropolitan district one with a full time paid mayor, you have town councils still all to be paid for. What next split wards up and form another layer of people trying to control your life. Just because national government is in a real state there is no reasons to have others no better but more local adding to our problems voted in with under 30% turnouts who become experts on everything once elected. Know many do not like Jim Davidson but he was totally correct after years in show business he refused to allow a post man dictating to him how he ran his business in the time who owned the brittania pier in gt.yarmouth.

No idea what the story is about Davidson but if he was bothered about being subject to the rules others also have to abide by and the democracy which is inherently part of British life, perhaps he should go and find another country to live in.

All you need to know is that he still routinely gets five-star reviews from the Express and the Mail.

I actually find it quite sad that he can't accept that his kind of comedy has had its day, it might have been okay in the 70s but it doesn't work now and he blames it all on wokeness, some comedy is timeless and some works for a short period in time.

It was basically about his plans for the place that were supported by people in the town that were scuppered by a council leader who was a post man or ex postman. Substitute davidson for someone you like or come back when they put their noses into your life or something you have vast experiance on with their rules, regulations and even a dislike of the person involved and sod what others want also. If for one reason they scupper our ground redevelopment for some minor reason i doubt people will feel as warm to local government then.

If he hadn,t got as political as he has now got it might have been easier for him. He has more or less lost half his fans because of some of his stances on different subjects.

Listening to Suella Braverman this morning. A question I've always had. Why is it that Conservatives think they have the monopoly on loving their country? It's incredibly arrogant. The card they always play on TV.

The card they always play on TV. They love their country so much they don’t want to share it with most of the people who live in it, let alone anyone from outside it. “Abolish the Parasite Class” as it says on that bridge over the motorway…

The only alternative they had was put up the money to stop him walking away with a good chance of the place shutting down. Gt. Yarmouth was on its knees in that period so at worst he could be discribed as an opportunist i suppose. I have little love for the bloke due to his political stance but just used him as a well known person to attempt to put something forward in my dislike for too many layers of government that neds to be paid for.

It's the why that matters here.
