Surely a country the size of the US can come up with a higher calibre of political leaders than both Trump & Biden? They’re both as bad as each other
“If you have a problem figuring out if you’re for me or Trump, you ain’t black’
This was a comment he made on live television when a black man said there was more questions to be asked between now and November.
Trump is idiotic and as has been mentioned above he’s very divisive. I don’t see how the above is any different though. If you’re banking on using a racial divide to win an election your other policies can’t be much cop.

In a Country with a population of over 200 million it amazes me that Trump and Biden are the best America can offer. Politics is the new entertainment industry where image, a glossy smile, fake tan, good marketing people and promising the earth means more than honesty and integrity. It's the same over here as Boris is only 2 genes missing from being a Trump double. Unless there are decent people out there who want to and are allowed to represent people then the West is screwed.

I’m not going to get in to a political debate on here but if I was living in America, I would 100% be voting for Trump. The deep state are doing all they can to get Biden into power. Stirring up the race divide being the most recent. It doesn’t make the mainstream media but Trump has been trying to make everyone aware of what the Clintons, Epstein etc get up to Oh, m8.

In this country Boris Johnson won the biggest directly elected position twice and a general election by a big majority, so we can't be too sniffy about America

It’s not a great quote from Biden but let’s be honest, the list of slurs from Trump is a lot longer. Biden has massive support among African Americans apparently. Something someone more clued up than me, like Fez, could probably shed some light on.

You’re right, it’s a ridiculous quote and if Trump had come out with similar it would have got a lot more negative press. Be interesting to see if Biden’s support among African Americans dates back years or if it’s just a way of him strengthening his campaign against Trump. If it’s the latter then I’ll just see it as a front to win votes.

Trump hasn’t for any of his and I think we all know he never will. I believe the black support for Biden goes back years with older voters. The younger generation of black voters are less enthusiastic which isn’t surprising.

Trump has been trying to make everyone aware of what the Clintons, Epstein etc get up to Ghislaine Maxwell arrested today. Could open a can of worms...

Surely a country the size of the US can come up with a higher calibre of political leaders than both Trump & Biden? They’re both as bad as each other They're not, and it's not even close. In a nutshell, Trump and his puppeteers seek to bring down the republic, destroy the democratic process, trample on the Constitution, especially the checks and balances, mould a partisan judiciary and install a permanent oligarchy, never mind his manifest appalling flaws and actions. He is far worse than just "idiotic" and "divisive" - that's doing him a huge favour. Biden makes stupid gaffes, and that statement was the latest in a long line. It was clumsy and insulting and patronizing but intended to highlight Trump's overt disdain for people of colour, and he apologized. It's not Biden trying to incite racial conflict.

Something someone more clued up than me, like Fez, could probably shed some light on. It may be surprising (especially given that he was Obama's VP), but Biden currently polls with less support among Black voters (79% vote intention) than Hillary Clinton did (88% at the 2016 election). Maybe that's a hangover from Bill Clinton's popularity in the demographic. But also younger Black voters are evidently at the moment somewhat less enthusiastic about Biden, as you mentioned. However, at the same stage (~6 months ahead of the election) the numbers are similar - Clinton was polling at an average 80%. Partly, the relatively large numbers for both compared with the population at large are, of course, simply because they are Democrats.
