The recent film that followed him in Napoli was brilliant. Even the Mrs enjoyed watching it. The scenes in Naples in that film are some of the best football film footage I’ve ever seen. The first question in the press conference about the local mafia and the President goes off his head and the fans banging on the ceiling above chanting Diego. Brilliant stuff.

Pretty sure I’ve seen it before but will definitely be watching again.
Whatever your opinion was of Maradona, you can’t deny he was an interesting character who led a very interesting life.

maradona goes up to heaven. god greets him saying, na then diago yer here a bit early but never mind lad. unlike football we have laws up here that have to be enforced. to get in heaven and to give you a chance st. peter has a sword. if you want to stay up here he,ll cut off your hand otherwise you,ll have to go down to the other place, milton keynes. diago says why do that. to this god replies, there is only one hand of god up here and i have it. If that’s your best effort you need coaching from Mustafa Point !

A name that dances off the tongue, ex-Fulham and probably other clubs player Papa Bouba Diop. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55124939There are few names in football as pleasing to say as Papa Bouba Diop. Papa Bouba Diop. I bet you’re saying it now. Papa Bouba Diop. RIP M8.

Scorer of the first goal at the World Cup in 2002, I'd forgotten what an aesthetically pleasing dance they did.

Dougie James (he of the Soul Train) died yesterday.
Well, he was a regular performer at the County club/Jacobean back in the day so he was a celebrity !!

Not a celebrity, but if you've ever watched golf on tv then you'd recognise his voice commentating on Ryder Cups, and all majors. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/golf/55204070Quite simply... the voice of golf.
