That blog makes me so pleased I don't have to operate in 'corporate world' anymore. I wouldn't last 5 minutes listening to that. I was amused at how much reverence was given to Clive Woodward asking that question about goal kicks. Like fans haven’t been asking that question for years. We could all be an analysis collective, that really would be doing something different. We collectively saw the writing was on the wall with Rusk long before the club’s team did. Yeh the Woodward thing was hilarious ... and obviously rocket science! And am I wrong in thinking that we as a team still head towards one side of the pitch for goal kicks?

Ah, but that’s so we’re ready to intercept the inevitable throw-in that follows on from one of our goal kicks! It's all very clever isn't it? And with Ben Hinchliffe kicking for touch, you begin to see the influence of Sir Clive. What do you mean, we don't have line-outs!!!

I'm not really an egg chasing fan, I'll watch it if it's on but that's about it. Anyway I went to an event that a supplier hosted a couple of years ago and Clive Woodward was there to speak about management and team work and I was really impressed by him.

Speaking of rugger, Sir CW’s time at Southampton is actually seen as something of a flop compared to his time with England Rugby (and later Team GB): theflanker.co.uk/all/clive-woodward-football-southamptonJust ‘cos it worked somewhere doesn’t mean it’ll work everywhere…

Incomodante make the forum this evening due to parents duties. However, I have heard that DV was asked about agonia responsible for the style of play and he said emphatically that it was him. Difficult to square that with SW’s nterview when he said clearly it was him.
Seems there could be friction behind the scenes, but I can only see one winner there.

He coaches them every day, working on shape, players building relationships etc. Something our previous manager never looked he did Monday to Friday. Wilson rocking up at 1pm on Saturday telling him the style? Don't think so, Simon. Rusk may have accepted it, don't think Challinor will.

Challinors days are already numbered for some as he clearly used the word “project” and the phrase “on the grass” in his answers tonight 😀

It's good to see this thread at the top of the board. Hopefully it stays there for as long as it takes.
