Why are they no longer being imported? Also thanks for the tip on a replacement! Anyone still missing their Snyder's fix, get down to Aldi 🤝 aldis offers recently have been pointless. I've seen quite a few things with Guinness for example was £5 for 4 cans but is £4.99 for 4 cans

Anyone frequent Lidl and is a fan of the Large Perlenbacher 500mil bottles?
I've noticed recently here in North Wales that the large bottles now seem to be the 4.5% stuff as opposed to the 4.8%, and there is a more than subtle taste difference.
Anyone else noticed similar at their local Lidl? (I'm in Stockport the match tomorrow so planning to see if it's the same there)

So your palate probably has one up on me there! Although the lapsed chemical engineer in me says if it’s own-brand lager that tastes different and has a different ABV, it’s probably come from an entirely different brewery not just a new recipe.

Definitely tastes different and not for the best. Noticed the label was different too so guess its been 'improved' Still much better than the cans of it.

After seeing this post, I checked the Perlenbacher in Lidl's here yesterday. In Spain it's 4.9% ABV. All lager tastes the same to me so I'm not qualified to advise on taste differences. I only drink the stuff if I'm in a bar and there's no alternative.
