I know there are a few real/craft ale fans on here, so might be good to have an 'untappd' type thread, so we can get a heads up on anything worth trying.
Really missing the pubs as generally not a big fan of home drinking unless it's a nice summer's evening in the garden, but seeing as there's not a lot else to do, I've tried a few nice ones recently.
One of the nicest recently has been Cross Collar West Coast Pale by Marble in Manchester. 5.2%. Glorious. Really fruity with a lovely bitterness at the end, that I love. So much so I ordered a crate of it.
Tonight I've had a Donkeystone (Oldham) Notorious NEIPA at 5.5%. Ok, but nothing I'd rush to try again. Had a slight medicinal initial taste.
Just opened a 'Maybe One More Cable Tie' by Electric Bear (Bath) at 6%. Very fruity for the strength, so will go slow with this one. Again, nice but not sure I'd seek it out again.
Can't wait to be back in the Magnet and Petersgate Tap.
What's everyone drinking tonight?
Apologies if this has already been started, and I realise the subject isn't for everyone, so feel free to pull.

Camden Strawberry Hells for me tonight. Got about 60 of the buggers in the kitchen and they're taking up space, so I should probably put a dent in them.

I’m on a new brewery tonight, Brass Castle. Got three to try and they’ve all been excellent.
Quench Session IPA & my favourite... Fruit Lupe
I love most IPAs that have Citra or Sabro hops in them. Tend to get mine from The Epicurean as they keep a rotating stock so gets me trying all sorts of new breweries.
Anything Cloudwater is my go to though 👌🏻

I'm not as cool as most folks on here.... it's big bottles of San Miguel from Aldi for me. I like it, and it gets me kind of drunk, but not like I was when I was in my 20s... I'll remember going to bed and wake up nice and early.

Lots of micro breweries do lagers, and to be fair, Ive not found any of them are any better than the premium standard ones, like San Miguel, Moretti etc. I always find a lager hits the spot after hard work. Love a hot day gardening, then a short walk to the Puss for a cold Moretti.

Most of Shindigger's repertoire is great.
Had some black lager from Manchester Union Brewery recently too and that's great stuff.

There’s a really good craft beer shop just opened up in Hawk Green, Marple called hole in the wall. Anyone in Marple should check it out they sell draft beer in 1 or 2 litre growlers. I’m currently supping a pale ale from there

Shindigger Shingri-La and Sweet Temptation a collab from Vocation and Brew York for me this evening.
ABC have done some excellent beers over lockdown as well alongside their staples like Charlie Don’t Surf and Juice Springsteen.

Just finished a Leffe tripel. About to pop open a sour beer by 8 wired for my 2158th unique beer on untappd. I don't have a problem honest...

Been on the Beavertown Lazer Crush most of the year. Best Non-Alcoholic Beer I’ve tried and better than loads of (alcoholic) beers.
Just had a Hazy Pale Ale by Northern Monk and a Calmer Chameleon by Brew York. Both very decent.
I’m sure most are already aware but the Bargain Booze in Davenport is an absolute must visit for craft beer heads in the area.

Apparently lager is less likely to cause it so do that instead, although still slip a couple of bitters down on occasion. Kronenberg tonight though have developed a love of San Miguel. Had a couple of special Morettis this week that my daughter bought me, Sicilian at 5.8%, very nice. Also love Paulaner Hells beer. If you can find Berliner beer that's superb.
