Agreed with the comments about not being good enough against the top sides, but we lost the first three without scoring and drew the second three from losing positions, so we've definitely improved. In the play offs, where we're playing (hopefully) two one-off games, I'd back us against anyone, praying Madden is back then though.

Yep, you're right. The threads will obviously continue for each game but imagine contributions will be down from those at the game. Suspect we'll still be hitting 15/20 pages each game which is good going. Remember Eastleigh away? I think that hit 60 pages! I also hope to meet a few posters that got to know this season, was previously good to put a name to a face in Vicar, Billy Byrne, Muirsafro, Coot, StuSCFC, DMO, M70, etc, all gentlemen when I met them in person. Been a good debate on here with BW, Phil, M20, Nik, Atmosphere, Suedehead, Lee that come to mind...and sure a few more.....be good to put a face to all those names.... I too am hoping to meet a few names off here as we make our way back to normality

Keane’s intervention saved a certain goal in the dying moments but without Madden we lacked that bit of quality up front today to win the game without our Paddy. Hope Simon saw that and will put it right next season. Woking and Yeovil too winnable games to get us in the right frame for the playoffs. I agree with 3330, what ever division we are in next season we will see some big signings coming in. However if we are still in tier 5 next season. Stott has to look at how we lost the chance of promotion and the sacking of JG has played in our failure to get to the EFL I only got to see the last 20 mins as was watching Young GeordieHatter's team playing, but that tackle from Keane was a real stand-out moment.. and you never know could prove an important one. A massive point for us today and from what I did see, hard earned against quality opposition. I'd still back us against anyone in the playoffs.. this not losing thing is becoming a habit and at the right time.

didn,t see the game but again its another draw at home. get practising penalties lads for the PO game. i,m sure the game will be decided on that. have we actually won the least home games of the present top 7. it feels like it. i must not be the only one who feels more confident when we are away from home. we can look class away but bang average at home.

I'm not being unduly negative or Jim FC but we were 3rd on PPG when he left and half a season and hundreds of thousands of pounds later we're 3rd, I think Rusk will be a good manager but I don't see that much improvement other than Paddy Madden, throwing a fortune at a striker from 2 divisions above is hardly a master stroke, I'm still optimistic though as we're better than the likes of Wrexham, Halifax and Chesterfield and we can beat Torquay or Hartlepool in the final.

Let’s not forget though that the recruitment pre-season was significant, that it was said additional funds were there if needed and that Jim had the benefit of a very good pre-season where our squad was complete before many others. So Yes, Jim did a good job, may have improved in the latter part of the season but also it’s equally possible based on Rusks results to date that had he had the benefit of a pre season behind him we may well have been champions. We were lucky in many ways to have had Jim Gannon as manager (More than once), it also seems likely that we may well be lucky in having secured Simon Rusk. Regardless of what may have led to his appointment it seems that he is one of a few new managers at County who have come up to scratch.

I switched on after 25 minutes. Although I was reluctant to watch County, for all the reasons that I have mentioned previously, I succumbed. I was very impressed by our performance and despite what Johnson said on his own club’s Website, I thought that we deserved to win.

Not surprised at the player holding his head in his hands.
