Unless they do a thing where they refund your parking when you shop there, it’ll be gone again in 18 months. Since it’s a shared car park with the rest of the Peel Centre, they may not have that option. Should have moved into Sainsbury’s IMO unless that’s being flattened for housing. There's a block of flats planned on the Sainsbury's site, I think the Peel Centre parking is pretty much like most places these days.

The bus station seems to be coming along well, whatever your thoughts it's an impressive structure.

over 500 apartments on that Sainsbury's site, three towers including a 15 storey, and also opening things up slightly for riverside access.

But the old M&S was used a lot by older people food shopping and then using the café. Surprised me as I thought the food pricey particularly for people on a pension. Asked a couple of them and they said the ready meals were just the right size for them and tasty, and they would make a day out shopping and then coffee/snack with a friend in the cafe . Not sure how this will happen there now .Unless you're coming from Ashton etc and the bus passes nearby or the shuttle bus if its still going. The old M&S closing was a big blow for anyone using the bus, not exactly easy to get to Handforth Dean on public transport.

Always seeing people say that the Peel Centre is terrible for parking but it’s incredibly busy most weekends and the majority of people don’t seem to fall foul of the wardens/ticketing.

Just seen that Dr Feelgoods is to reopen. The former bar manager there is taking it on and opening up under the new name of “Amp”.

I know they started work in there after the pandemic but they seem to have gone off the idea again, it's a great old building but what we don't want is Robbies putting someone in who's idea to fill the place is karaoke and northern soul, it's better staying closed and letting the independants get on with it.

Can't understand why the bulls head hasnt reopened. A Robinsons pub would do very well in the Markets nowadays

Not quite a development, but does anyone remember what that great big pub in Adswood was called?
