Must say, that chicken burger is looking pretty good. vm.tiktok.com/ZGecfhFcd/A Phat Ladz might be worth getting involved with, especially after your recent Chunky issue I can confirm it’s a good burger and decent value if you can get past the terrible name and Edgeley u12s using it as their new loitering spot It’s a great name, a burger place shouldn't be pretentious.

It’s going to be chaos, 4 busy roads feed into that roundabout It’s a massive task, I imagine it'll be replacement bus services for a while as trains won't be able to run under a bridge while it's being rebuilt.

Suspect they’ll keep disruption of the tracks to the minimum and only do that over bank holidays etc. Can’t have MCR-LDN replaced as bus services for any length of time.

The council better hope we don't get promoted this season, otherwise they'll have to re-route the open top bus!

Network Rail have said closures are required during Easter, summer and autumn next year, but with no specific dates as yet.

Unless I'm remembering incorrectly, the train line that goes out to the airport carries on south to Wilmslow.
It'll be a slower line, and cause problems with some of the local services, but I'd expect they'd be able to run at least some MAN - EUS services on that line instead if they had to.
Basically, instead of trains being Stoke / Macc / Stockport / Manchester, they'd become Crewe / WIlmslow / Manchester on the dates the work is being done.
Disruptive, but less so than bus replacement.

Looks like I’ll be finding a different office to get the train to, then. Since COVID, I am to commuting by car what BA was to going on missions on planes…

It's weird but all the times I've been over that roundabout, it never occurred to me it was a bridge. Thick or what!

Can remember when I went to Our Ladys Primary in the early/mid 60s when there were still steam trains. You'd see the smoke then it would disappear for a couple of seconds as the engine went under the bridge.

I think the perspex screens are still there where you can watch the trains coming out of the bridge or is it a tunnel?

Where did people think the railway went after it goes under that new footbridge?
