One thing though is that the lad has put darts back on the map as i thought the interest was waining a bit. His achievements have certainly brought darts to the attention of those who don't normally follow it. Popping up on the news & so forth. He had a great run & didnt disgrace himself in the final. Looks more like 36 than 16 though! As for darts in general - I think it's in robust health & certainly very popular. Telly viewing figures for the World Championship keep on rising.

NFL Playoffs start tonight.
Any predictions?
I’m thinking
Browns beat Texans with their defence making Stroud look like a normal rookie Chiefs beat Dolphins, with Pacheco having a great game in the -18 weather Steelers drag Bills down to their level, and win an ugly defensive game Cowboys squeak past Packers in by far the best game of the weekend Lions beat Rams more comfortably than expected Eagles just about hold it together to beat Tampa, but still look like a broken team

I'd also picked the Cowboys and Eagles, and thought the Texans-Browns game was a toss-up. What do we now reckon now for the Divisional round? I'd probably go for the Lions over the Buccaneers, and Bills beating the Chiefs in a close one. 49ers ought to have too much for the Packers, right? But Green Bay is looking lively right now. Baltimore will be clear favourites to beat a young Texans team; but I have a sneaking feeling that Houston could pull off a surprise if they get at Baltimore early (and even reach the Super Bowl) - they seem to be really getting things together quickly, and Stroud is already looking very much the part. I'm far from being a Texans fan but a Houston-Green Bay Super Bowl would be hilariously unexpected.

Can’t see past the Ravens against the Texans. I think the surprise might be Packers against 49ers. Lions to beat the Bucs as well.

Packers would not surprise me if they can play as well again but the 49ers should be a tougher prospect than the Cowboys, who again seemed to crumble when it mattered. You're right about the Ravens, of course, and I'd prefer them to win. The Browns were a much easier opponent for the Texans.

Texans have been a breath of fresh air this season but the Ravens will have far to much for them. Ravens by 12.
Packers are on the up and shoild.be a major force next season, but the 49ers are just too loaded with weapons offensively. San Fran by 14.
Love the Lions and all that Dan Campbell has done with them. Baker is too erratic to lead the Bucs to two straight upsets. Lions by 10.
Chiefs/Bills is tough. I dislike both, but reckon Bills by 3 after OT.

As a Ravens fan I’m really trying not to let my bias take over but I think we’ve too much for the Texans. Having said that we do have a habit of monumentally snatching defeat from the jaws of victory so who knows! Don't want to get ahead of myself but should we win I’ve got some air miles to burn so looking at potentially making a mad dash over next weekend for the Championship game, we will see…
Toss up between the Chiefs and the Bills (can’t stand either of them) but I’m going Kermit and the Chiefs.
In the NFC, I’d love an upset but I can’t see anyone stopping the 49ers on that side including whoever wins out of the Lions and Bucs.

Pretty much got everything wrong Wildcard weekend, let’s try again…
Ravens too good, but Texans never look completely out of it.
Packers / SF a high scoring one with both defences struggling, but SF ultimately make enough stops to win - if I were to bet, the GB+9 line feels the most appealing of all the possibilities this weekend.
Lions roll over the Bucs at home
Chiefs / Bills will be a close game settled by a comedy cockup - whether it’s a ridiculous drop by Valdes Scantling where it’s easier to catch it, or a stupid interception at his own 6 from Allen, no idea. Let’s guess KC wins.

Ravens too good, but Texans never look completely out of it. I'm going for the Texans as the shock result of the weekend. Packers were excellent against the Cowboys, but hard to produce that back to back and doubt the 49ers will be as mentally weak as the Cowboys. Lions to edge Bucs (two 1st Draft Picks at QB in a Play Off game which doesn't happen that often?? - anyone think of when it has?). Chiefs to edge Bills in a cracker.

Although SF kept trying to find ways to screw it up. But if you're the Packers you can't afford not to punch in one of those visits to the red zone in your first three drives. Chief-Bills should have gone to overtime but for that failed FG.

Let’s guess KC wins. Or a shanked 44-yard field goal... :-) Good predictions. Edit: for the Conference Championships: Ravens over the Chiefs; and, why not, Lions to sneak past the 49ers.

NFL Conference game predictions anyone
Ravens beat Chiefs in a defensive struggle. Think Mahomes experience in these sorts of games will make it a good bit closer than some are expecting, but ultimately the Ravens defence will be too good for the ropey bunch of receivers and Kelce on the downward slope. Can see Jackson underperforming to regenerate the 'can't do it in a big game' narrative, but it'll have been an excellent game from the KC defence that will have caused it.
Lions shock 49ers. Detroit know the only way they can win this is by going full gambler with lots of 4th & medium type stuff going on, and Shanahan is notorious for going too conservative in a big game. If some of Detroit's early gambles come off, and get a bit of scoreboard pressure, and Deebo doesn't hold up for a full game, that's a potential victory right there.
(of course, the other option of the Detroit gambles failing, leaving 49ers up 21 after 25 minutes and game over wouldn't be a surprise either if I want to get back on the fence)

NFL Conference game predictions anyone Chiefs over Ravens - only because I trust Mahommes more than Lamar (a big performance from Lamar though would really elevate his standing). 49ers over Lions in a surprising blowout (but if the game gets close then at that point I start to favour the Lions a bit more - will Shanahan's play calling issues come back to haunt the Niners??).
