I’ve heard permanent mentioned tonight but would be v.surprised if so. Would imagine loan most likely.

Dumbfounded by some of the villa fans comments on social media who don't seem that arsed about him

Dumbfounded by some of the villa fans comments on social media who don't seem that arsed about him Not surprising though really is it, one decent spell with us and that's about it, they're looking at a completely different market to him, I saw Joao Felix mentioned the other day I can't imagine Barry would be anywhere near their squad any time soon on so he'd be better off coming here where he's wanted!

Dumbfounded by some of the villa fans comments on social media who don't seem that arsed about him There are levels aren't there. While he is excellent at our level, the players in the PL are bigger, faster and stronger and he is probably just a little too lightweight to make it at that level. He's been around quite a while for them now and isn't anywhere near their first team so it's not surprising that they're not too fussed about getting rid. It would be like us loaning a player to the NLN, nobody would be massively shocked if we decided to sell him to the club loaning him. We'd just accept that the club couldn't see him making the step up.

Completely agree you have to accept premier league is a different level. He's definitely wanted here though same as when Chris marsden and Kevin Cooper became surplus and look what happened

I’ll be thrilled if we see him in a County shirt again this season.
A part of me does worry if his injury will have had a long lasting effect on his game though. We only really saw him reach first gear on his return towards the end of last season

Fingers and toes crossed. Him and someone experienced could be the final pieces to a good season.

We only really saw him reach first gear on his return towards the end of last season If, big IF, it will be our record signing by far and you'd hope Stotty would want him going through a proper rigorous medical to make sure that hammy was back to normal before laying out the cash

Never doubted this after MS close season interview. Good for the player and good for County.

We only really saw him reach first gear on his return towards the end of last season And he still took the piss. Danced around the Notts defence when he came on, and turned the Accrington defender into a pretzel for his assist for Wootton’s goal. Please God, let Vicar be correct 🤞🏼

Today would be a great day to get it announced. Get him some minutes against Blackburn and/or Carlisle and a week of training before the season starts. 🤞
