Hinchliffe Knoyle Horsfall Pye Touray Bate Collar Camps Diamond Wootton Barry Addai, Hughes, Mingi, Fiorini, Bailey, Fevrier, Okeke Don't mind going back to diamond but I'd prefer Bailey on left of that instead of Camps for balance with left footer and also Touray, Bailey and Barry have a great synergy amongst them Think Camps could play tip of the diamond and then use Diamond as the impact sub I think in the 11 I selected Diamond would heavily favour going out to the left and Collar favours going out to the right so I selected Camps to help stay central with Bate.
Slighly worried we could get overrun in midfield at times this season, particularly away from home. I'd like to see Mingi in there at some point.

We played a double pivot against Blackburn so I suspect we’ll see a back 3, two wing backs, a double pivot and 3 interchangeable up front. As we know though, formations are fluid.

DC isn’t going to scrap the back 3/5 he favours because it means Touray as a wing back. Have we even played a back 4 in pre-season so far?

For me, a 4-1-3-1-1 . Hinchliff, Back four of Fevrier,Horsfall(capt)Pye,Adamarola. , Bate (sat in front of back four),Collar,Camps,Diamond, Barry in a free role ,and Wooton up top.

Or with Diamond but not in a diamond? Or with Diamond in a diamond?

With all the changes over the summer and the disjointed feel to pre-season, keeping as many of the old guard in, especially those you mentioned on the left, would be wise. As others have said, the new boys have to earn their place in the side.

Am I correct in thinking that anyone talking about pivots on a football pitch was born 1992 and onwards?
