I presume we already have a S&C, or many, with a sports science background given our staff levels. Not point signing anyone if you can't keep them fit. If there is something we change behind this injury crisis I highly doubt it's a quick fix or something an extra coach will remedy. Otherwise we would have sorted it by now. There was a review last season. We had an advert for a Strength and Conditioning coach in a role that hasn't yet been filled yet. Maybe but a look on COWS shows we have a Sports Therapist and Head of Conditioning. I've heard DC talk several times about managing and monitoring workloads and similar. We haven't got to L1 without S&C. It's also a lot cheaper to bring in 1 coach than 1 player or several. The club will be doing everything to fix it both for on the pitch and off the pitch reasons.

We apparently had someone lined up for the role but they pulled their hamstring and damaged their knee travelling up and so missed the interview!

So we had the standard numbers. We've just been absurdly unlucky with injuries. No we didn’t. We had one fit RB/RWB and a selection of other players who can play in one of those positions rather than specialise in that position. Last season fans were saying we are short up front but it didn,t stop us being champions. One good thing that hopefully comes out of this injury crisis is players getting a chance to start where they might not have done with a fully fit squad and stake a claim for starting throughout the season. Out of our squad i cannot think of a single player i do not want to start a game unlike in the past when i dreaded hearing kenny announcing his name.

And the playoffs. It’d still be short of the 67 we played in 96/97, the same season Fergie asked the league to extend it. Are there FA Cup replays this season or have people with no idea how things should be killed them off? There is up to a certain round.

Rwb: MSH/Knoyle/Fevrier Rb: MSH/knoyle/connolly Which is just about passable if we weren’t planing on playing 343 and Fevrier higher up the pitch. Cannot remember DC starting with 4 at the back in games but went to 4 during games if he thought that was needed.

We played 4 at the back plenty of times last season, we won 12 in a row playing a back four.

Not a traditional flat back 4 by a long way.

We also played a back 4 with Touray and Knoyle plenty of times.

There’s no point in getting worked up about whether we’re playing a 3/4/5. Regardless of how we line up at kick off we’ll switch between the 3 throughout the game.

I always preferred a back 3 up until that point, that back 4 and the midfield diamond with the pacy forwards was not only succesful but it was so good to watch.

Did not expect that! For me it was Horsfall or Ben as a toss up. Shows you what an impression he's made. Big call as a new signing and 21.
