Two straight reds for me. That was just the 1 yellow. He got first yellow for time wasting 2 minutes before this.

The whole of Alien3 is best forgotten TBH. Sorry, that’s Fiorin a isn’t it? Actually it stands the test of time better than you’d think and the director’s cut is well worth looking out. The ‘assembly’ cut. Fincher wanted nothing to do with it given the studio interference in editing the theatrical version.

After today it somehow doesn’t seem apt to talk about that certain Blackpool player anymore as we plainly don’t need him.

Love seeing Addai refering to Ben as the GOAT. Probably one of the most difficult players to replace in our history, but Addai's ability and personality has made it a seamless transition. Ben is such a professional that he will have played a huge part in making it work so well and he'll be ready if called upon. We're very lucky to have them both.

Addai’s Instagram handle conveniently sounds like someone saying caddy in a Brummy accent. Hopefully Ben gets at least one league game this year, if only to tick the ‘played in four different divisions’ box. Very happy with Addai so far though.

Long way to go and no reason why Ben can't reclaim the no.1 shirt before the season ends but it's been a good start. Addai has looked a little better with his feet playing short, though did have the clanger vs Cambridge. I'd like to see him dominate his box a little more too (though has made some good claims so far). He's also made saves when called upon and we haven't seen any of the indecision of a backline with a new keeper, like when Ross came in. He's really likeable as you say and I was pleased that he got a massive clap (and a smattering of boos) when he ran out in front of the CE. We have two great options first and foremost, with the added bonus of one being a club legend and the other with plenty of potential to grow (as well as 2 other very young GKs on the books).

As much as I wanted Ben to start the season, I'm ok with it now but I think it's also made me realise why I wasn't ok with it when it was Jaros. Addai's come in on a big contract for a fee and there's a clear succession plan there as Ben's future is also secure beyond the summer. When Jaros came in, you can't build around a loanee goalkeeper and even if they're a success, 12 months on you end up in exactly the same boat as you were before, only with your stalwart goalkeeper out of contract having sat on the bench for a season who may then look elsewhere for game time. We could have gone into summer 2023 with no senior goalkeeper or back-up. Thankfully Ben held onto the position when he got back in that season and was fantastic, and then even better last season. It really feels like we're doing it right when we could have done it very wrong.

I heard a few from UT3 but I may be mixing it up with when his name as announced as starting over Ben. Regardless, they were hardly audible over the cheers and he got full backing during the game.

That error v Cambridge could prove pivotal to Corey, made a poor error but then retrieved it with a great block. If that shot had gone in I’m sure he’d have faced a lot of criticism for it and possibly dented his confidence right at the outset.
