On the face of it, a really good signing. Hard to quantify but whilst we’ve started so well, there will be a point this season where we struggle and we’ll need some experienced heads. Currently we have very few, so Norwood’s experience could be invaluable. The 3 year deal did make me wince a little but he’s definitely good enough to perform for the length of that contract m. We'll still need an old head or two with the experience to close a game down, who are skilled in the 'dark arts' & 'shitehousery' to enable us to come away with a 1-0 win....

l hope not. Would rather have offered Paddy and Sarce 2 years. Paddy would have flown with this new players. No point paying Sarce £3k a week to sit on the bench all season, because he'd struggle to get in this side, he was never blessed with pace & would soon get found out. Made more sense for him to stay in lg2 & enjoy a final pay day at that level. Similar with Paddy, he couldn't be guaranteed a start every week.
Nobody in our squad except maybe Horsfall is guaranteed a start, you could maybe add Bate and Barry.

Experience at this and a higher level could be key as well, although a lot of the young ones we've signed may have a lot of games under their belt I doubt there's many of them with experience at this level and more so pushing for promotion from this level

I'm quite happy with this, we could do with some more experience at this level and higher in the squad but I will say a 3 year deal of true seems a bit excessive, hopefully he can get up to speed quickly.

3 year deal is so we have PL experience when we get there.

Norwood on a three year deal! A three year deal would be absolutely ridiculous, and that's an understatement.

Love that but I've seen similar about club legends dropping down a level. People were saying the same about Powell and McGoldrick (who had a good season tbf).

Me too; clearly levels of experience we don't have but, like others, the three year deal just seems odd. Granted, it might have taken that to secure the deal but I don't see what the club gain from it. He'll be 36 when the deal expires and there's no chance of a significant transfer fee for him even if he does well; if he doesn't do well then we're locked into paying an aging player who likely won't be being paid a pittance. Two years seems like the sweet spot; unlikely to lose him after a year if he does well and not locked in for two further seasons if he doesn't.

I was hoping to see more of Powell, I think he could be really good at this level. I think he'd like playing with Bate.

Its not all about getting fees for players once they leave its about what that player can do for the club in the time he and others are with us. Like most clubs we will still be a selling club if we have the right players to sell but you cannot run a club on the hope thats going to happen. In one sentance fans say players are much fitter than years ago yet in another they say they might be past it once they reach a certain age.

The club have already said that they intend to run the club in that exact way.
