Looking at their lineups from the last 5 games, Hillary has only made the bench once.

Nothing ITK at all, I'd be surprised if we aren't trying to move Powell on but equally I'd be surprised if we can find a taker unless it be a part subsidised loan Could be a little bit of fine tuning but not sure there is many players you would earmark us to try move on within squad so I'd say mostly dependent on if Powell moves on as could give scope for a loan or two Think close of window comes too soon for a loan for likes of Stretton or Rydel to go get game time, though be better served keeping them registered and sending them NL side so we can then recall them for us if needed which we can do outside window anyway in that scenario, did hear a bit of talk may try use likes of Alty to get game time in that respect but more conjecture than anything Loan a Right back seems an obvious addition especially if prognosis on Mingi isn't too great Might not do any harm sending Stretton somewhere local like Oldham if they were interested. Get him back playing for a couple of months and keep him local. Hope he gets his chance after the 18 months he's had. I suspect with time spent injured and players brought in he gonna get left behind unfortunately which be a shame as think there is a player there, but a loan certainly seems way to go and hopefully smashes it and either can play a part with us or does enough attract interest secure his next move as seems highly unlikely he will get new deal end of season

As much as I love a good rumour, seeing clubs trying to move several in and out, or desperate for a striker before the window closes, has made me even more grateful for us getting our business done early - and more importantly it appears to be good business.
Strikers seem to be in particular demand with several teams looking (Barnsley, Wrexham, Rovers etc.) and a lot of deals appear to hinge on others at this stage with clubs not willing to let players go until they have a guaranteed replacement. Prices obviously increase too.
We'll see how our business plays out but it looks like a very good window on paper.

Not happy about us getting all our business done early (and done well).
The last two summer deadline days have been box office events.
Two years ago crying out for numbers and we signed Daniel Okwute and then the meltdown last year when we signed Bailey.
Half hoping we send Barry back, sell Horsfall and Bate and Wootton is sacked tomorrow, just to liven things up a bit.

Wasn't officially annouced until the day after but some account (maybe his agent) had posted on twitter at 11pm or something late like that and everyone searching him up knowing at the time we were lacking goals and he was what we got

I think we could do with a RB and potentially a LCB backup but I trust DC and no business probably means it's decent news on Mingi (and even MSH...?). I'll take a quiet day if that's the case.

Agreed - this has been the best window I can remember us having and think the whole recruitment team deserve huge credit - Challinor and Wilson obviously but also people like Jonathan Smith. Really smart, strategic recruitment to upgrade positions and change the age profile of the squad, all done early. Even the desire for a right back now is due to our horrendous luck with injuries, rather than it having been a pressing concern all summer. But I do think we need one now - fingers crossed we can bring in a loan.

Not fussed about a backup LCB - there are so few left-footed centre backs who can play in a three or a four, bring the ball out and pass well, as well as do all the defensive and aerial stuff we’re looking for. That’s why we didn’t manage to sign one for a good couple of years until the emergence of Pye and why he’s such a valuable player. If there were a quality young player floating about I’d take them, but can’t imagine there are many. Feel like we’ve got our centre backs covered quite nicely with Connolly, Hughes, Mingi (when they’re not all injured!) and Onyango.

You driving past Carrington at 11pm to see if any lights were on was an all-time YellowBoard highlight for me.

But I do think we need one now - fingers crossed we can bring in a loan. We'll see how everyone performs but, on paper and from 3 games, I agree. It's a really well rounded squad (providing we can get players fit) too and we didn't spent "big" until Norwood. We seem to have quietly picked up some of our top targets. I've thought we needed a RB with pace all summer but that was on the basis of MSH being out until Christmas and Mingi filling in at best. As it turns out, MSH may be back sooner (but will need a lot of time to get and hopefully stay fit) and Mingi looks a very solid option at RB when there's creativity in front of him. Though we've lost Knoyle as a reliable option. I agree on LCB. I posted a few days ago that it's like a no.9 who is more than a target man. Really hard/expensive players to recruit a difficult sell to player (and probably not cost effective) when you have 1 established in the team. We've shown we can play without Wootton; I just wonder how no Pye would impact our new focus on build up.
