Blackburn now interested in Scott Banks We still need a rw but banks won't be that player. I really hope we don't rely on olaofe playing on the wing when we have Barry on the left. We need a quality player, whose free kick delivery and ability to thread intricate passes through the defensive line mean he is a real asset to the team. Someone like Scott Banks or similar. Hard to find at our level though.

What to bolster their defence. Imagine what we would be thinking if we scored 3 yesterday and conceeded 5 and it was rumoured we were in for another striker. We do not know but i said during the game that luke armstrong would have put away one of those half chances in the box we had because that is his game. Mind you i,ll be surprised if we do get him or go in for him at least as DC does not seem to think scoring goals is our major problem after listening to his interview post match. They were missing Boyle and Hayden yesterday I believe, no reason for them to be looking at their defence because they'll be better once those two are back. But they scored 3 goals without Mullin and they're still going to go and get another proper centre forward. They were missing because the manager didn’t pick them I believe. Certainly Hayden was on the bench.

Not sure where all this recent need for wingers as well as wingbacks comes from given our preferred style of play, while we’re at it maybe we should we be looking at inside forwards and halfbacks and try a good old 2-3-5😀

Boyle was injured and Hayden returned from a long injury (before Wootton got injured for us) Hayden scored 11 goals last season before injury, no way if he's fit he's not being picked

It also gives up different options aslong as we play to their strengths anyway.

Luke Armstrong has made himself unavailable for selection today for Harrogate. I know he has been linked with a few league one clubs and some have mentioned him as competition for Wooton, and a decent replacement until he is fit. Could be some movement somewhere in the next day or two Wrexham bound Armstrong would be a great fit for us now and the next few seasons As far as I can see we haven't been linked with him but now he is available I think we should try for him. We can match any wage its the player fee that could be the sticking point I think Harrogate will hold out for big bucks so it will limit the clubs who can bid

If we play 3 at the back with a defensive midfielder sat in front, 2 wing backs and 2 conventional wingers we will have 2 spaces for Powell, Wootton, Sarce, Madden and Collar.
If however we are determined to stick with 3 (5) at the back and just the 1 DM we then have 4 spaces for the Midfield (not including the DM) and Attack combined. 3 Attacking / Central Midfielders behind Wootton seems the only option?

Wootton and Armstrong would be a classic home combination. A little bit like Angell and Armstrong.

So if that's the case which 2 of Powell, Wootton, Sarce, Madden and Collar would you play?. Hinchliffe NSH, Knoyle, Horsfall, Touray, Rydel Croasdale Banks, ? ? Barry
