Goalscorers always cost the most money because they're hard to find.
I don't really want us to be paying that sort of money out considering the options we have but at the moment we look weak up top.

That’s our ideal set up with this squad and I hope you’re right we’re in for someone up top. As mentioned elsewhere we regularly concede late goals to throw away points but rarely score or even look like scoring late in games. & that's why this new added time rule is going to bite us on the arse more often than not That’s our fault not the fault of the rules as it’s the same for every team. |

One of the Wrexham ITKers reckons that they've had a £300k bid for Armstrong turned down. Harrogate apparently holding out for £500k. Sounds like wishful thinking on Harrogate's part. That'll be the Wrexham tax we keep hearing about, we'll get him for 250k 😁 |

That tallies with what I've heard too, they want £500k. If they get that they've done very well. We sure won’t be paying that. I'd be stunned if anyone pays that. This is from 21/22, but shows how little money is spent in this division. Majority of teams didn't spend a penny in transfer fees, the whole division only spent £820k. That's taken from clubs accounts, I believe, so is accurate. |

There always seems a maximum price paid for players in non league, div.1 and 2. At armstrongs age i think he is just a league 1/2 player a bit like luke beckett was. Know he is a few years younger but he is no better than paddy was when we signed him and paddy has more about in in the game. I,d have snatched wrexhams hand off if i was them and they,ll end up with a player with a chip on his shoulder if they price themselves out and he might not give them 100 per cent if he is still with them in september. Don’t disagree with some of that, but from their point of view selling him hugely increases their odds of dropping out of the league. Given that, and reported interest from a number of well-backed clubs, I understand why they’re holding out to see how much they can get. That said, I think they should just give him to us for 50p plus a squad player. I,ll drive camps over myself if that could happen and he can sit in the front passenger seat. |

Never thought that game was going to end with the words typical County ready to be spoken when they equalised but fortunetly didn,t. |

Last night encouraging, especially regarding Cody & Ethan, well done lads 👏🏻👏🏻 If that’s the catalyst to kick start us, then great! Not bothered about progressing, but an improved overall team performance is a step in the right direction, we now just need the results to match. Sooner the better hopefully.
Also encouraged by SB’s quote from Chally that we’re “still looking to recruit”. Hopefully our hopes, wishes, recommendations and patience shall be rewarded …………eventually 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Angell joined after the first game, he came on in the second game against Chesterfield in the cup. Missed a glorious chance at the Cheadle End. He was part of the struggle early on. |
