it’s just been a really good season as a squad, rather than having a couple of stars and a bunch of makeweights. kind of shown by the PotS thread here, where there really wasn’t even any broad agreement on who had been our best player. Ben, Horsfall, Pye & Tanto have been consistently good all season, but not utterly dominant. Barry, MSH, Camps, Bailey & Sarce each had an outstanding 15 games or so each, but an equal period of injury / on the bench. Paddy has been somewhere between groups 1 & 2 Others like Croasdale, Knoyle, Wright & CLE have made big contributions here and there, with even maligned Touray & Powell having their moments. Hippo, Byrne and the loan lads have all played their parts too. Just a really good squad all over. Exactly my thoughts. The real team of the season wins the league. But it is unusual not to have the team who wins the championship heavily represented in TOTS. Its odd. But the only names that'll be remembered in years to come will be the one engraved on the 🏆.

Nigel Clough...League 2 Manager of the year just makes a mockery of the whole thing That’s bonkers. I don’t necessarily think it should go to the manager who wins the league, although you could defo make a case for that, but you’ve got to be looking at someone like Lindsey at Crawley, Wild at Barrow or even Weaver at Harrogate. Given a lot wrote them off as relegation fodder I’d say Scott Lindsey has done a superb job at Crawley.

Nigel Clough...League 2 Manager of the year just makes a mockery of the whole thing f*cking hell. I can only assume they took the vote about 6 weeks ago..? That's the only thing that makes any sense.

Absolutely no idea where to put this, but great to see Leverkusen have jumped on the “f*** you Bayern, we’re gonna win the league” chant after clinching the title this weekend.

Rob Apter beats Ethan Pye to League Two YPOTS; Jodi Jones wins POTS. Fraser Horsfall is the only County player to make the TOTS. Ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaa f*ckoff! The team which storms the title has only 1 player in the TOTY? Get tae f*ck. Said it a few weeks back though, we've never done well in these things, sure 96/97 we only had 2 get in, same in 90/91 - did Big Kev ever actually get in? or Brett when he won the Golden Boot?

Nigel Clough...League 2 Manager of the year just makes a mockery of the whole thing Does it ?? Clough's very likely to get his team promoted, not like he's done a bad job this season is it? (they might have had their wobbles, but it's about 46 games and he's done his job)

This always happens though with managers who win promotions with sound financial backing behind them and the shoestring managers never get a look in. Then thats to his father clough has something DC hasn,t a name although he did have a better career in the game though and DC is only remembered for his throw ins.

Good to see James McLean as classy as ever saying Accy, Newport and Tranmere can enjoy their "we beat Wrexham cup finals celebrations and we'll enjoy ours" the cheek of these upstarts celebrating a win.
