Santa Barbara is one of the places I’ll buy a house when I win the lottery. A stunning area.

Still not totally convinced about the parking for EP is fully resolved if we increase ground capacity and can fill it. There are those of us who have zero options like me where without a car it would be a ball ache and not worth the hassle in using public transport or a wish to walk a long distance finding a car park thats not overly expensive or getting there late finding its full and having to search somewhere else. Out of town means out of town though where parking could be easy like donny rovers but with the choice of burger bars or footy expensive grub being your only eating options. Thats before the drinkers are catered for. I think the reality of going to County over the next 5-10 years is you'll have to use public transport (or at the very least a Park & Ride somewhere a couple of miles from the ground) unless you park way down Bird Hall Lane and have a 25 min walk from your car. Any expansion to EP will surely come at the price of extending the permit parking areas to protect residents. Tbh, I'm on board with that. And that's someone who drives to 90% of home games. We've got a park at the end of our road where loads of kids teams play on Saturday mornings and it's a joke trying to park or get the car out as people just abandon them. That's for maybe 200 kids playing. If we're getting 15k at games then anywhere within a mile of EP should be permit parking only. They're mostly tight terraced streets as it is, it's not like there's big vast boulevards cutting through SK3 with loads of parking options. There's the multistorey at the Railway station, down at the college, and the car parks at the municipal buildings around the Town Hall, Edward Street, Piccadilly - all closer than Bird Hall Lane.

Thats before the drinkers are catered for. Would be much better off having a park and ride somewhere than moving to improve parking. Every other way of getting to EP is better than it would be some out of town bowl by a motorway. Every. Single. One. Yes. If the likes of Newcastle can manage it - 50,000, City centre, no/very limited car parks at the ground - I'm sure we can.

This mob get to play in Santa Barbara, we’ll probably have Curzon Ashton away. They’ve given themselves a bit more time at home this time. Not much but will likely be better preparation than last summer’s was.

I meant if you want free street parking, as most currently do.

This mob get to play in Santa Barbara, we’ll probably have Curzon Ashton away. Imagine us doing friendlies where the majority of spectators were hoping to catch a glimpse of Mark Stott not watch some football. ‘Cos that’s this in a nutshell.

This mob get to play in Santa Barbara, we’ll probably have Curzon Ashton away. Always going to happen. They've got to service the brand now. Funnily enough though a lot of their fans were blaming their last U.S. tour for their less than stellar start this season. Ultimately though they achieved their goal & Mullin still banged a load of goals in despite his delayed start.

Injuries can happen in any pre-season game, whether you're playing Man U in the States or Rhyl away. I think the issue was more that they went over there and got back off their flight at 2pm before kick off on the first day (I may be exaggerating here). They seem to be finishing over there about a fortnight ahead of the season, so the legacy fans are a bit happier about this.

I meant if you want free street parking, as most currently do. Do not think its free parking fans are after its just somewhere within a 5 or 10 minute walk. Not all of us are able to walk even that with difficulty and a few will be put off from attending. I arrive now just after 12.30 where it used to be 1 or 1.30 back in the NLN days just to park somewhere easy with no problems. Some cannot do this and have no option but to arrive at the last minute. All this is fine when we are a high, but fans are fickle and will use even an average season not to go. Once you get out of the habit it might take em awhile to come back. As for the residents who find County an inconveniance they should have tried living 5 minutes from rugby railway station where i got inconvenianced 6 days a week throughout the year.
