Not sure if it’s been mentioned but our fans were silent last night. Couldn’t hear them at all. And that was from someone stood 30 yards away. Honestly what was there to get excited about and give a reason to be noisy. Know its different watching on the box but i just sat there speachless unlike many live away streams and the bolton replay where i had to appologise to neighbours.

Was in the Salford end last night with a mate who knows one of their players - he has told him their squad knew, and discussed in the dressing room, that we had multiple key players missing and that they had to take advantage and win last night. Probably pretty obvious but shows that it does give an extra boost/motivation to the other team.

What happens when you get 500 tickets going to people who are happy to sit outside from 3am. With all respect to them as I’m not saying they are any less of a fan in any way but it was always going to be the way. The atmosphere at EP in the sell outs has been horrendous because you struggle to get the ones who do make an atmosphere together. Never been in favour of an “atmosphere” area but it might need some thought if this carries on next season. Well we had that at the CE with half the number of fans in so its either not happening on the pitch or new fans are affecting the ones who were noisy who are now keeping quiet.

As i have said earlier our players would have felt the same if it was the other way round and they were down to the bare bones.

Sometimes the fans need to lift the players. Unless the team is on top this rarely happens when they are up against it. Thats why you hear the chant of only singing when you,re winning comes from.

It will only be lively on Saturday if you let the people who create an atmosphere congregate together. Because of the sell outs in the last few games the UT have been locked out by ST holders/fastest finger first. Which is fine per se and everybody has a right to be there. I've sat in the lower tiers, amongst those who create atmosphere at the away games/used to at home in the dark old days. I think it would be a reasonable oversight to forget to check tickets and get as many up there as possible next week. The players need to create the atmosphere and 75% of them need a good long hard at themselves before we tip this away

Yes. Gateshead fans are not happy. I can see why we've done it - not sure it was necessary the right thing to do though. If we hadn’t and there was a defensive injury last night, who was going to come on?

Atomshpere wise at ep what we need is more than just ut3 to sing. I'm in lt4 with my dad and grandad and no one near me chants even after we score. I know it's not everyone cup of tea but we should be creating a better atomshpere. Even go back to last weekend when we had the tifo, looking at video the tifo was great but the chanting was so quiet. We have been better so we know it's possible we just need more people to get involved.
It doesn't help that our main group of chants comes from the very back of the biggest stand when you look at majority of clubs it's right behind the goal or in a corner on the side but they are right on the pitch. Ours couldn't be further from the pitch.

I was offered a ticket in the home end yesterday but turned it down because my wife wanted to watch the game and won't go to the pub alone, I saw a couple of familiar faces in the Salford sections on TV, did everything pass off peacefully. Interestingly there were a couple of well known County ‘faces’ who had complained loudly about not getting a ticket who I saw in the away end last night.

Sometimes the fans need to lift the players. Sometimes the players need to lift the fans . That was absolute crap on show As I said/suggested, it works both ways. If we’re not playing well just sitting/standing isn’t going to do much for the team, being a fan isn’t just about watching us play well, we’re fans not customers.

Watched late last night after a night out. Was shocked when I saw the line up and just how short we have suddenly become. Stretton up front on his own sums it up. For me their goal was a clear foul which would be given 99 times out of 100 but it was an overall poor performance. I think that we have limped along since Christmas really, grinding out some results and only occasionally, mostly against the better sides, producing a performance. It seems to me that the season sub divides into three. First bit where we seemed overawed by the step up, then getting to grips with it and playing really well and the ending as if the success of the second third have exhausted us.

Sometimes the fans need to lift the players. Sometimes the players need to lift the fans . That was absolute crap on show Just a poor night all round. I didn't see much leadership from Challinor to be honest either. Just sitting in his seat, scribbling notes and occasionally gurning. But, 1-0 down. Game on. We can do this in the second leg. If I'm out of my seat ranting I don't understand why the Manager isn't. And my seats a recliner...it's no mean feat getting out of...
