Not sure if it’s been mentioned but our fans were silent last night. Couldn’t hear them at all. And that was from someone stood 30 yards away. What happens when you get 500 tickets going to people who are happy to sit outside from 3am. Gobsh*tes like me then? Me and my lot and some of the lads I saw spending the longest time queuing on Thursday were amongst the noisiest County fans there last night. And amongst the few continually making a noise.

Atomshpere wise at ep what we need is more than just ut3 to sing. I'm in lt4 with my dad and grandad and no one near me chants even after we score. I know it's not everyone cup of tea but we should be creating a better atomshpere. Even go back to last weekend when we had the tifo, looking at video the tifo was great but the chanting was so quiet. We have been better so we know it's possible we just need more people to get involved. It doesn't help that our main group of chants comes from the very back of the biggest stand when you look at majority of clubs it's right behind the goal or in a corner on the side but they are right on the pitch. Ours couldn't be further from the pitch. It would also help if the noisy bunch in Yellow Block of the Popside were left to stand rather than being told to sit. I don't care if people think it's only 20 or 30 of us, or we can't be heard from the CE Upper tier, we 100% can be heard and appreciated where it matters, by the players on the pitch. Home players have told us several times they can clearly audibly hear what we're singing, and opposition players have reacted to our taunts and jibes.

I find it staggering the number of people hiding behind injuries as an excuse. Any XI we put out ought to be good enough for this level. If it isn’t that’s a massive recruitment failure. Still, onwards. We can still do it. We probably had 4 maybe 5 players playing that form our best XI last night having to play in a pretty unfamiliar shape missing our 3 top scorers, we arent going to have a squad of 23 L2 galacticos, any team is going to struggle for fluency against a pretty much full strength Salford side, just unfortunate those injuries to key players have decimated us and meant we lack that bit of star quality or dimension to change it up much during a game, we've done ok to come out of it 1-0 down in many respects That said you'd always hoped we could have shown more ways to be effective but Croasdale doesnt miss that absolute sitter their dubious goal probably doesnt happen and we could be saying produced a pretty dogged and manly away performance in face of adversity If there was an advert for fine margins from our point of view it was yesterday I wouldnt be too confident of overturning deficit with injury crisis Madden i believe is defo out for season, not sure on Collar but he has a problem with his foot so id say its unlikely we see him next week No fit defenders to sit on bench with Lewis and Johnson both injured so we have to call back Pye depriving him of a wembley appearance to simply fill matchday squad of 18, tough break on the lad but we have to protect our own interests first and foremost not beyond realms we get to Wembley ourselves anyway for him to play a part Injuries are part and parcel of it, but 12 players out injured on a roasting hot evening after a long hard season is going to impact any teams effectiveness Early goal for us next week would be huge and get momentum and crowd going, if we concede first goal i fear its game over

The noisier bunch on the terrace were more towards the side of the terrace, pretty much the opposite end from Suedehead. We were making plenty of noise, but the mass of bodies of County and Salford fans in between probably insulated the noise, whereas it went forward towards the pitch.

Sometimes the players need to lift the fans . That was absolute crap on show Just a poor night all round. I didn't see much leadership from Challinor to be honest either. Just sitting in his seat, scribbling notes and occasionally gurning. But, 1-0 down. Game on. We can do this in the second leg. If I'm out of my seat ranting I don't understand why the Manager isn't. And my seats a recliner...it's no mean feat getting out of... Same here but at least DC does show emotion if we do score. Many modern day managers must practise a sour face even when their team does score which for me is very odd behaviour in an emotional sport.

It would also help if the noisy bunch in Yellow Block of the Popside were left to stand rather than being told to sit. So you are advocating that you should be allowed to brak ground regulations and force others to stand by your actions who prefer to follow them and remain seated. Know its easier to be noisy standing rather than sitting so start a campaign for safe standing at EP. I,ll sign it for one if you start a petition as i do not want people standing all match infront of me and would prefer them to have their own standing area.

Can understand why its difficult to change tactics when Wootton had played every single game before his injury. He was one player that i think all of us expected to be fit the next game and play the same even after a battering. We can all be wise after the event and say a Wootton type player should have been signed in january just in case. A case really no one expected to happen. 🙄🤯 When you have one player who determines the tactics and system you play not having an alternative in place is a false economy. It isn't a case of being wise wise after the event. Scott Quigley is proof of that. "Big" muscular target men carry a lot of weight and the nature of the game puts them more at risk of picking up long term injuries than other players. A slightly similar issue exists in Midfield where Will Collar is the only "competitive" player (not counting Ryan Croasdale who is a Defensive Midfielder). If Sarce if going at the end of the season we will need another player with "presence" - maybe 2 if Collar departs.

I don't know what we do at Carrington in regards to training but I swear we get most of our injurys there.

I'll sit if asked unless others in front of me refuse to sit. But the least you can do whether you sit or stand is get behind the team. Telling me to sit down, and then sit there quiet as a mouse, or pissing about in your phone, or yakking on about city or utd will definitely get my back up. Also I notice you pick me out to ask this question, but not Bighead who has repeatedly advocated similar- is breaking the ground rules somehow more acceptable in the Cheadle End?

Return of the box midfield for me next week if the same personnel are available and Madden and Collar are still out. They will keep it on the deck more on a decent pitch are capable of cutting thru our midfield the way they knock it about. Need a big performance and we are due one at home for sure. We haven't adapted to being without Wooton (besides the Orient game). If we're going to just lump it up to Stretton then I may aswell play upfront. Wouldn't mind seeing a return to the box midfield. It served us well towards the end of last season, helps control the midfield more and keep it on the deck. Just goes to prove the Orient players were hungover.

It aint personal by a long way its i noticed your post and might have missed his. Know you were around in the bad old days where everyone in the ground lived and breathed County. Its a problem with some newer fans that every club has to face that many will not really fit the bill of what we expect from County fans. Some will change whilst others drift away to somewhere new. Somehow somewhere those of a similar nature do need keeping together for the good of everyone without the feeling of a fan apartheid being introduced between new and old.

How hard is it to screw up crosses? well, last night it was very easy to do where were the balls aiming for? proper crosses are meant for the back post not back of row Z
