Just watched his interview with JK. Does anyone have a biog on him? No agenda, I just do not know who this chap is and that is probably my fault -hands up. He seems savvy and straight forward and sans bs. Is he related to the Yorkie cricketer, cause he looks like him?

And the great-nephew of ‘Stockport’ hitmaker Frankie Vaughan.

I'm well chuffed with where our club are at the moment but the interview left me feeling disappointed, I was under the impression that the ground improvements would be under way in the near future but it's now all about if we do this and if we do that, I just hope this isn't the start of the backpedalling leading to looking at other options.

I know what you mean Vic. However I would much rather have honesty from this fella and other current higher-ups about what can be accomplished and how it can be paid for than the Ryan Mcshite era bollocks that led to the abyss. What do I know though.

Has worked with Mark for a long time (Right hand man from what I know) and was out in Dubai with his firm for a good few years over there. And obviously also presented the Big Breakfast.

The cost of the new railway stand and the extensions to the main stand is mind-boggling. Over £20m!!! External funding and all that. You can see that they would want to almost guarantee that they could fill it before proceeding.

I felt the same. He basically said it’s not happening for the foreseeable.

You can see that they would want to almost guarantee that they could fill it before proceeding. A lot depends on how they see the fanbase itself. Will it continue to rise or has it actually peaked now. This is worthy of a thread on its own. Has anybody failed to get into EP due to not being able to buy a ticket. If all ST holders who are not present informed the club of their non prence then thats a few more tickets available. We cannot get promotions or near promotions year after year and would our gates dip without this happening. Over 20 million pounds spent is a lot without the real need of any increase so you can understand the club keeping an eye on things. The other arguement also is that if its not done today its going to be more expensive even a couple of years down the line.

Or even worse, it could be preparing us for the old "it's not economically viable and we could build a whole new ground with great motorway access and state of the art facilities for less" I hope I'm wrong and the money spent so far on EP is reassuring but I'm getting bad vibes.
