Still seems strange that he had an interview when he wanted to be in the “north west” Perhaps it’s a game of poker with Scott and Wilson and to by himself some more time by pulling out of talks . I still think that he will be gone by November if we don’t have a turnaround equivalent of last year I agree with this. He needs to sort the tactics out and we can’t repeat that second half of last week. We’ve left ourselves with a lot to do. Despite what some people think of my posts this week, I’d love nothing more than for him to do so. We’ve still got a very strong squad for this level he just needs to make it work now. |

If he is staying, good, let’s get on with it. Starting with 3 points on Saturday. He was right to talk to Charlton. Just hope the main reason for staying was his belief that he will lead us into L1 this season rather than being out off by the location/basket case-ery ofCharlton.

Unfortunately the next 5 games for challinor some of the hardest games we could have now 1st game against crawley who have started well barring last week 2nd game against 5th place Wimbledon 3rd game against take toppers mk dons 4th game against big scoreres Wrexham 5th game against 3rd place Accrington |

Paraphrasing but never wanted him, was bought in as a connection through Stott, dreadful attitude, called the linesman at Hartlepool a c*nt (which is what he got the red card for) - Challinor said to Jim ‘did you hear that?/do you tolerate that?’ (or similar) as he was so surprised; Jim wanted to fine him at the very least but was overruled. Yep, plus the line on him having a terrible attitude towards opposition, team mates, manager and back room staff. Always think you can tell an arsehole by how he treats those he considers the ‘little people’ and it sounds like Rooney treated them like dirt. Jim words to me at a County do was "John Rooney could undermine anyone" |

Think it's fair to say it's not to bad at County and big bad Simon isn't bad to work alongside bringing in the right players.
Why else would you knock back 2 bigger clubs from the league above.

Jim’s yet again appeared on here, but the truth is, he was incredibly difficult to work with, mainly as he was never in the wrong; whether being told by Danny, or anyone else going forward - he was never at fault (in his own opinion). It’s often better to take gods off there pedestals in order to better examine more closely the flaws. PS. Jim is a County legend - no debate - but with question marks (as identified by almost everyone else who employed him); he is completely irrelevant to County going forward in 2023. Spend much time in day to day contact with him at work? Questions marks at any other place are wholly irrelevant. Attempted put downs of this nature are par for the course on here; I know what I’m talking about, and thought you did too; my point stands - Jim was flawed in the way I suggested, as are most managers in their own ways. |
