Such a weird feeling with DC. Rusk used to actually make me a bit angry, but what is happening with Dave makes me feel a bit sad. I'm desperate for him to get it right, but he keeps proving he can't change a game. Wish he'd gone to Charlton with all our best wishes, but I fear the worst for him. Just want the weeks to go by as fast as possible till hippo and more importantly wootton is back and hope they start off where they finished. The question of a managerial change should be the last thing on anyones mind at the club until this happens. Forget the transfer window where he cannot take the whole blame and if he was a mechanic he could not be blamed for not doing the job correctly if some of his tools are missing, some are not working as good s they did and the snap on man failed to turn up and had to nip down to halfords instead.

Been thinking of the loyalty card since yesterday. In reality it's probably only Jim who we could have expected to be loyal to the club both through his stated love of the town and club plus the adversity that he ploughed through. No other manager has that and I presume that they all see a job as a stepping stone to a move up the ladder. Of course they want to be successful but by and large if that success leads to other opportunities then they will be considered and if the circumstances are right they will be off in a flash. What I guess I'm saying is that we shouldn't expect DC to be loyal to the club, it is what it is, but by return he shouldn't expect unwavering loyalty from us.

Whether Woots/hippo are there or not, DC has never consistently been able to change the direction of a game. Also, as much as I quite like Hippo, if we're relying on him to change our season we're in huge trouble.

Its as much or more the ability of the players to do this. They are on the pitch and not him. As for hippo his main thing is his unpredicability where he does the totally unexpected and gives me the impression that he does not know its happening but it just does. He must be an absolute nightmare to mark as both party,s and fans have no clue what he,ll do next.

I agree and I also think Danny had that but it is rare in football and as you sayI wouldn't really expect it from any manager, we're Stockport County and there are a lot of bigger clubs out there who can offer more than we can, not just financially but in terms of status, you can't blame managers or players for not showing loyalty it's just a job and they have to make as much as they can while they can. He had to consider the Charlton job and he chose to stay whether that's because he thinks we're a better option in terms of location and "the project" or Charlton are just not that much of an attraction or maybe he does have a sense of loyalty none of us have any idea but I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe I should be more of a cynic it does make people look smarter and less naive but it must also be pretty miserable at times.

He's generally ineffective at that, or at best, too late in doing it. From what you're saying, we might as well not have a manager as it's up to the players.

Can’t say I’m hopeful seeing how we only seem to be getting half a tune out of Rydel and Collar, and MSH only managed a few weeks before he was back on the treatment table. Fingers crossed, though…

Anyone who throws 2 kids on who have played less than 5 competitive games between them and asks then to change a game at 2-2 deserves nothing but criticism for me. Absolute joke. To be fair they shouldnt even be at the club never mind the team!

It doesn't bother me at all that he spoke to Charlton. For the vast majority of players and managers, we're just a job. Can't blame anyone who moves on when a better job comes along. I still feel like in a few weeks time everyone at the club will see it as a missed opportunity. His decision will probably end up costing the club a lot of money.

If we apply the Five Whys to that potentially costly decision, whose decision do we end up with then?
