If we apply the Five Whys to that potentially costly decision, whose decision do we end up with then? The person who offered him a 3 year contract? The person who signed the wrong players? Don’t make me do an actual Five Whys on a rhetorical question!

Anyone who throws 2 kids on who have played less than 5 competitive games between them and asks then to change a game at 2-2 deserves nothing but criticism for me. Absolute joke. To be fair they shouldnt even be at the club never mind the team! Why should they not be at the club? Two good young players who could add to our squad. Not all signings can be high profile players you know. Most League One and Two squads have young loaned from higher up the pyramid. Also disagree that they shouldn't have been put on. When should they play then? Just give them 5 minutes when (if!) We're 3 0 up. Looking at the bench yesterday, once Sarcevic came on they were first cabs off the rank for defensive and midfield re inforcement. Either them or Pye and Cody Johnson. Two "kids".

Lewis gone on loan to Wimbledon. Any recall clause.. Doesnt sound like it.. Not sure about Evans. Jacob Davenport released at end of season... Do you think these young lads are better?? We are reacting.. No being proactive.. I really believe there are too many people involved in the recruitment.. Simon Wilson DOF
Jonathan Smith Head of player Recruitment Dave Challinor 1st team manager
Everyone says that DC has final say.. Im not so sure.

The only time we'd be able to recall Lewis or Evans is January now.

The only time we'd be able to recall Lewis or Evans is January now. We're not reacting though and therein lies the problem. We've got a structure that regardless of injuries has holes in it (LCB, DM and Target Man) so the assumption was that any players coming in would help fill the holes. None of the arrivals do but that's not to say that they are not welcome additions to the squad. I was surprised when Pond and Cotterill came on as they would have barely had chance to sit down and relax, acclimatise and get to know their team mates. Why Croasdale went off was a mystery especially when Collar had seemed knackered in the first half and looked like he was still carrying an injury from start to finish. We look like a team lacking stamina, cohesion, structure and balance whilst some are low on confidence. One system with no plan B and square pegs in round holes shouldn't be problems too hard to fix. At the moment it is hardly ideal for the younger inexperienced players to come into.

Lewis is doing ok at Wimbledon, not sure there would be any point in recalling him now unless he's going to start week in week out. (and per Nik anyway I don't think we can) Evans has had enough chances and not really taken them, Davenport looked a nice player but wasn't always fit (as had been the case before he joined us), so not sure he really justified a new deal.

Not against bringing in young loanees but not at the expense of seeing our two young prospects being relegated to non playing subs especially when one came on to do the same job cody has done for us. if we needed him to play further up the pitch then thats different. I,ll give him pond as he wanted a right sided defender on and not a left that pye is. Question is would pond have been preferred to Pye if we needed the left side bolstering.

Do those two results put the 'Challinor out' talk to bed for a while now?

Do those two results put the 'Challinor out' talk to bed for a while now? If they continue, I feel like it confirms he can get good results despite the recruitment not because of it?

Two outstanding away wins. You have to give DC and the players a lot of credit. Lets hope we can keep building and growing. There is lots to like about us, still issues aswell. On we go.
