True. Anyone who started watching us when we were last in div.1 has been on a bigger roller coaster ride than any thats been invented. In that list you can add a couple of PO defeats and missing out on another in the last game of the season. It’s what I say when I get people asking why I support a club like County. Apart from it being our hometown club, it’s just so much more fun. I feel for anyone who supports Everton, for example. Can you imagine anything duller than being in the PL year after year after year? In a little over two decades, we’ve seen our club play in five different divisions. Very few football supporters can say that. We’ve seen the journey of five relegations and four promotions this century alone. And I reckon that, if we carry on like we are at the moment, in a few years we’ll be talking about having got up to the Championship, relegated all the way down to the National League North, and back to the Championship again inside 30 years. Unique. Six seasons in part time regional football .bet you didn't think that

Bristol City in the championship come to mind and teams whose only ambition is to avoid relegating in the others being the same. When we were like that in the old division 4 days it did not seem as bad in those days as it would now.

Not sure I'd bring Barry on looking at the surface! Honestly the pitch in the half we were attacking second half wasn't that bad. All the worst areas were up the far end. Overall it didn't look a bad pitch, just had areas with no grass.

Another fantastic result, great to see we have it in us to scrap for the points. Another superb run we're on, really hope we can keep it going for at least the next 2 games, with all the injuries we've had & being top for large parts of the season, nobody could deny us being worthy Champions, come on County, win that Title now Please.

I do wonder why they cover their faces with snoods/balaclavas even though a helmet would do the same. Can’t imagine they maintain the bikes they (presumably) stole, so only a matter of time before something breaks, hurling the rider across the tarmac. At least a helmet would make their corneas salvageable afterwards… If they want to drive like that, go and do it on a track or off road where you can't hurt others. Same with d*ckhead drivers, usually on the M62. Very common to have cars fly past who must easily be doing 110+. Quite happy for you to suffer catastrophic injuries on a race track or farm land somewhere, just don't drive like that where you can injure others. The thing is i,d guess there is no track they can use. We had one a couple of miles from me but it was closed after an accident with someone getting a very serious injury. For me better to keep it open as serious injuries can happen to other road users and pedestrians when they are riding on the roads. Know they built one near hartlepool years back for off road bikes with a copper in attendance to advise on riding and bike maintainance. its a legitimate sport and its name tells you where it should be consigned to.

Posted this yesterday, which has been very well received. Really enjoyed reading that. Parts of the last 15 years are a bit of a blur as it certainly has been a rollercoaster. Good to see Alan Lord recognised. I really think if he hadn’t stepped in and steadied the ship, and we’d gone down another level, then that would have been the end of County as we know it. In a way he got us back on the road to where we are today.

A few weeks back it was a case of wishing the season was over and everything was sorted out. Now i do not want it to end.

The absolute state of this bizarre virtual press conference. Relegate them now. It's such a weird thing to do. There's no need. I remember it from earlier in the season as well (at least I hope it was them and not another club pulling the same bizarre nonsense).

Just a thought- if it really happened that the ref had made an error and Knoyle should have gone, will there be any repercussions? OK he could get a ban but they wouldn't make us replay the match?

I think he gives it to Byrne for the hold initially, having played advantage. If he has booked Knoyle twice, it wont be replayed, its happened before in games with no further action taken. Plus Im sure if he did drop a bollock, I'm sure he's smart enough to give the booking to Byrne in the match report.
