I think the bigger issue in football terms : is will we go up !!? I hoped Mansfield would beat MK Dons as that ( aka Warren Buffett ) would have helped build a moat below third place. As of now, I think our form ( over 5 & 10 games) causes me disquiet. We are struggling to assert ourselves in games and struggle to score goals to convert draws into much needed wins. TBH I have little confidence we will beat Crawley tomorrow . The hope is that we get fully fit senior players back soon and the talismatic Barry back and fully fit before it is too late to make a difference. For me: the team that beat Wrexham 5--0 ( or did I dream that !?) was a strategic template and even with a chronic injury list we have drifted away from fast forwards and quick football. So I expect Manfield to be champions and I hope we and Wrexham join them . But we are very far from certainties to do so and we don't have momentum -- like say MK Dons. Momentum is important in any run in and also the play offs which I desperately want us to avoid this time.

My only wish is that Wrexham don’t win the league because of all the sickening media stuff that’d come with it. I don’t mind if they go up with us but if they don’t, I’d probably find it funnier than MK or Crewe not going up.

We seem to be going in the opposite direction somewhat. That said, the first half hour of the second half at Salford is a good template to coin your word...

No doubt Wrexham have the financial clout now to get themselves up the divisions but I don't think Parkinson would get them higher than league 1 with his tactics & style of play & Wrexham fans are saying as much themselves. It would be absolutely great if they were pegged back a season & missed out this year, the meltdown would be great to see on RP. Most footy fans are fickle & I include myself in that category, at half time on Thursday I said to my mate 'this is crap, why do we put ourselves through this?' cue the 2nd half revival & delirium after the goals & I'm saying 'this is why we do it!' Wrexham fans on social media were adamant they were going to clinch the title the other week this week it's 'Parky's clueless, Marriot & Bolton are a complete waste of money' . They're not unique in this swing of emotions but it's always amusing to see when it's another club.

I didn't want this to get lost in the FL thread so forgive me for starting a new one. It's looking certain that Mansfield are nailed on for a top 3 spot. Despite everything this past few weeks, I'm still fairly confident 🤞 we'll make it and go up with them. That's 2 spots sorted. But 3rd? F.C. Hollywood, Crewe or Franchise? A Hobsons choice if ever there was one. Non of them have got any redeeming features but who do want/think will go up in that other automatic spot? I don’t think it is nailed on that Mansfield get there. It’s very probable, but if it’s nailed on for them then it’s almost nailed on for us.

Would much rather Wrexham up over Crewe. Who cares about the news? Crewe Alexandra are a horrendous set of knobs from top to bottom. Not even a debate for me. Although, I am far too pre occupied with us. We're far from there, I know it's psychological but seeing MK in 4th on equal points with us tonight makes me feel as far away as I have for a while. 3 games in hand, yes. Games in hand only give people sleepless nights unfortunatley. I’d rather that oddball twerp Pete Wild and Barrow go up than either, tbh. Handy fodder in L1.

My only team in the UK is County, but who has other favourite teams. UK or international. I'll start. Barcelona and FC St Pauli. Both for political reasons.

Whoever City are playing in Europe. For petty-minded, parochial reasons.

I'm sure an unpopular opinion but Crewe is very much manufactured. I'd like them to come up with us. I have no major angst about them. Whereas, for some reason, I really dislike Wrexham If Crewe had immediately held their hands up and said “this club f*cked up, we will do everything we can to prevent it happening again” and f*cking owned it like Chelsea and City did - then I’d still hate them as a local rival but not near as intensely as I do. They didn’t do that. They denied everything, refused to apologise for years. Then when they finally put something out vaguely in the direction of an apology they still made a thing about it not being us but previous ownership and all these caveats. f*ck them. Dirty vile club. Absolutely spot on

Barrow are in a very handy place to Nick 3rd on the last day If they do go up, Pete Wild will definitely be picked up by a bigger club, he’s an outstanding coach

Wrexham have some very unsavoury fans and the whole Hollywood thing is embarrassing. Hope they crash and burn.

Football-wise, Crewe would be a horrible team to face in the playoffs. Fantastic press, physically strong, very well coached, able to mix in some s###housing. So of course they won’t go up.
